🤍 The days leading up to the Palio on July 2 officially begin with the presentation of the Drappellone, affectionately called the Cencio by the people of Siena.

The Palio is an incredibly important festival for Siena, passed down through the centuries, featuring the people of the city's 17 Contrade. On the day of the Palio, 10 of these Contrade will compete in Piazza del Campo in an exciting horse race from which only one winner will emerge.
