💗 Back to blogging! 💗

It's been a wee while since I've been active here, but I've decided to blow the cobwebs off this blog!

As some people know, I started working full time as a copywriter here in Seoul. I've moved apartments almost half a dozen times since moving, had visa hoops to jump through and even almost lost my blog hosting...It's been a crazy transition and let's just say, when you write for someone else 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, the last thing you want to do in your free time is write more...

But, I'm missing wee gypsy girl and I don't want to abandon it. I'm not blogging for numbers, followers or sponsorships anymore. I'm just doing it as another creative outlet, and hopefully as a way to give people more tips about living/travelling in Korea!

Since I'm now living and working full time in Seoul, the content will be more korea focused again, but I still have a backlog from last years trip and my 6 months in Chiang Mai. Let me know what you want to read about ♡

Last weekend, I spent the day in Gangneung, a gorgeous wee seaside city in the Gangwon Provence. I ate fish, visited a sheep farm and recreated scenes from my fave K-Drama, Goblin!

It's funny that it was when I was watching Goblin on Lake Atitlan that I became super homesick for Korea and wanted to come back. And then, last weekend, everything seemed to have gone full circle.

Coming back to Korea has been great in so many ways: for work, life and everything else that goes along with it.

It is, and always will be, my home away from home

So excited for my 6th trip to Japan and to visit the northern part of the country.

Already got hot springs, loads of food, ice cream and beer on the itinerary. Who's been? What else should we not miss?!

After being in Seoul for a couple of months, I've got a new trip lined up. (But, don't worry, I won't be leaving Seoul for good any time soon!)

Can anyone guess where I'm off to?

Here are a few hints!

1. It's a place less than 3 hours away from Seoul

2. It's in a country that I've visited a few times before, but a place that I've never been to

3. It's famous for snow, but it'll be flower season when I'm there

4. I'll probably be drinking a very famous beer, eating ice cream and trying out some seafood when I go

I've been excited to write this post for a while and it's finally live! My full itinerary from our trip to Mexico last year.

As you might remember, I loved Mexico so much more than I thought it would... the culture, the architecture, the nature, THE FOOD! (Oh my god, still trying to shift those extra taco pounds...)

Plus, the great thing about travelling in Mexico is that it's fairly convenient: you can see a lot of different places in a short amount of time, and it's easy to reach from both Europe and North America.

In Central America, we did 2 long term stays as digital nomads: one in Guadalajara, and one in Lake Atitlan!

Lake Atitlan was the type of place that sounded like a dream.... yoga studios, nature, great coffee, rich culture and a low cost of living. But, did it live up to my high expectations?

I've been wanting to write more indepth about our experience on Lake Atitlan for a while but it seemed like a huge topic to tackle. Whole 30 is officially over! And what am I having to celebrate? A smoothie bowl and almond milk latte haha.

I'm not usually one to promote such restrictive diets but, I think that after travelling, you really need to reset your body and go back to basics!

Weirdly enough, I'm not craving pizza, cakes, chocolate or anything. What I wanted was a smoothie (not allowed on whole 30) or some lentils.... and maybe a digestive biscuit 😂

This isn't a diet you can do on the road- it's far too restrictive for that. But, if you've been indulging a lot overseas, challenge yourself to a month of just eating whole foods, too!.
