The "Shinkyogoku Stand" is a popular cafeteria that was established in the Taisho era and opened in the second year of the Showa period. It is located on Shijo Kawaramachi, in the Shinkyogoku Street in Kyoto.

Inside the restaurant, the marble counter and tables, which exude a strong presence, have remained the same since its founding. The electric cash register, which was rare at the time, and the posters from the early Showa period also evoke the atmosphere of that era. Shinkyogoku Stand offers an authentic Showa retro experience that is not artificially created.

Wedding in Japan

In the Shinto ceremony, the couple reports their marriage to the gods based on the idea of a family tie, and in the Buddhist ceremony, the couple thanks their family and parents for their relationship and vows to be bound to each other until the next life. Both are traditional Japanese ceremonies, with the Shinto ceremony including the sanzen-no-mikoto ceremony and tamagushi offering, and the Buddhist ceremony including the giving of prayer beads and burning of incense.

📍Todaiji Temple

Todaiji Temple is a Buddhist temple located in Nara, Japan. It is one of the most famous and historic temples in the country and is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The temple was originally built in the 8th century, during the Nara period, and has been rebuilt several times over the years due to fires and other disasters. The main building, known as the Daibutsuden or Great Buddha Hall, is the largest wooden structure in the world and houses a giant copper statue of the Buddha, which is over 15 meters tall.
Aside from the Great Buddha Hall, there are several other notable buildings and structures within the temple complex, including the Nandaimon Gate, the Hokkedo Hall, and the Sangatsudo Hall. The temple also has a large park surrounding it, known as Nara Park, which is home to hundreds of tame deer that are considered sacred.

Mt.Rokko

This 931-meter-high mountain is located west to north of the city center of Kobe. Access to the summit from the city is via the Rokko Cable and the Rokko Sanjo Bus, and it takes only about 30 minutes from the city center to enjoy nature and hiking in all four seasons.

Reikan Temple

You can enjoy the 350 year old camellia tree, among hundreds of kinds of camellias here. The temple was established in 1654 and was previously run by the nuns of the royal family.
When you enter the temple, you will be greeted by a well behaved golden retriever!
Open for this year until April 10th.

The Kyoto Imperial Palace used to be the residence of Japan's Imperial Family until 1868.
Because the emperor and capital were moved from Kyoto to Tokyo. It is located in the spacious Kyoto Imperial Park, an attractive park in the center of the city.

Maple trees in the Kyoto Imperial Palace were also beautiful.

Admission : Free
Closed: 12/28-1/4, and Mondays (If a national holiday falls on a Monday, the following Tuesday will be closed)

In the Kyoto Imperial Park, there is a rest area where you can eat some food, drink and buy some souvenirs.

Koetsuji temple is located in the north part of Kyoto city, and famous for its view overlooking the three peaks of Mt.Takagamine.
It is also famous for the crisscrossed bamboo fence called Koetsuji-gaki used for the tea house, Taikyo-an.

Arashiyama Yuzaitei

Beautiful spot in Arashiyama, the place is called Yuzaitei ( #祐斎亭 )
The place is loved by the famous writer Yasunari Kawabata who won the Novel Prize for Literature in 1967, and was the first Japanese author to receive the award.
Yuzaitei used to be a ryokan (Japanese style hotel). Now the place is a Dyeing workshop, where they make beautiful fabrics.

Kiyomizudera temple is a Buddhist temple located in eastern Kyoto, Japan. The temple is one of the world heritage sites in Kyoto.
The large veranda of the main hall and the autumn leaves looked so beautiful.

Hiun-kannon is located on the approach to Tenryuji in Arashiyama.
She was built as a memorial monument to all soldiers who died in air battle in the war.
So, She has a cross on her hands for foreign soldiers.

Ishiyama Temple

The temple is also one of the thirty-three temples in the Kansai area of Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage located in Otsu city, Shiga prefecture, less than 30 minutes from Kyoto city.
Lake Biwa, the biggest lake in Japan is just near there with many activities.
