Clients L❤️VE the Eden Rock St. Barths Hotel for so many reasons, with “location, location, location” always being top of the list.

This hotel is perfectly situated near the airport, but don’t worry, those tiny planes are more photogenic than they are a nuisance. Travel Advisors do so much more than provide travel advice and plan travel. We sprinkle each trip with a little bit of magic in hopes of surprising + delighting our clients.

Often, this comes in the form of little treats waiting in your room upon arrival. Sometimes, we’ve been able to arrange even more things, but I won’t spill all our secrets on Instagram!

We believe firmly in selling what we know - places near and dear to our hearts that we’ve visited and asked the management staff all the questions. It’s so nice when hotels take this “test drive” a step further and try to surprise + delight us! Boardwalk Hotel in Aruba did just that. When my team arrived in May, we all found precious photos of us with our kids waiting in our rooms next to a local snack and bottle of bubbly. It really warmed our hearts, and it was so nice to feel exactly how our clients must feel!

A hotel’s mini-bar selections can be so telling. It’s always one of the first things I check out in any hotel room. The mini-bar can help set the expectations of what the hotel’s culinary program has to offer.

To me, if a hotel puts effort into curating a mini-bar with an array of locally sourced products, instead of the expected over-processed items, I know I’m in for a treat! They will likely put the same effort into their restaurants + bars.

Chic minimalism abounds at Amanera on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. You no longer have to fly around the world to experience one of the highest-ranking luxury resort brands. Amanera is closest to the Puerto Plata Airport which is only 2 hours from Miami. Best Part? This airport routinely has some of the best first/business class fares in the Caribbean.

Have a seat, and let’s talk for a minute about why travel advisors charge fees...

Yesterday, I had a casual chat with a client who pointed out that in their industry (real estate), they aren’t paid until the “deal is done.”

This is such a poignant comparison.

With real estate, clients typically get to test drive the experience by touring the house, the building, the neighborhood, etc.

As travel advisors, we have to bring an entire vision to life for you before the “deal is done.” We are able to create these intricate itineraries because we’ve invested thousands of dollars and hours traveling to the destination to test drive it for you. Before the deal is done, we’ll likely put in 8 to 12 hours to build a customized travel proposal for you. That is uncompensated research time.

Selling real estate has much higher margins than selling travel. If you sell one incredible home, I imagine your bills are covered for the next few shoppers who waste your time. That’s not the case for us - we operate on much smaller margins.

Both my teams and are so thankful for all of our wonderful and gracious clients who understand our value and compensate us for the time it takes to bring their travel visions to life. ❤️ We love putting our expertise to work for you!

The British Virgin Islands are synonymous with island-hopping. It's inevitable because so many hotels are on private islands that are inaccessible by airports. It adds to the allure of this part of the Caribbean.

So, like me, you'll have ample opportunities to hang out on wooden docks extending into the Caribbean Sea, hoovering over gorgeous crystal-clear turquoise water.
