What’s the most important thing to know when renting a private villa??

WHEN to book the villa!

That’s right… it’s evident in the number of clients who have requested a villa vacation at the last minute that folks just don’t realize how early you need to secure your dream property. Villas book out far in advance!

For high season in the Caribbean, you need to start planning 10-14 months prior to travel and 6-12 months for the rest of the year.

This statement can be interpreted in many ways - but for me, it emphasizes how important it is to stay active as we age. Even our mobile careers as travel advisors involve far too many sedentary hours. I’m sure so many of you can relate!!

One of our personal faves is Sugar Beach by Viceroy in St. Lucia. The topography provides a natural gym, and the “recuperation spaces” are some of the most luxurious hotel rooms in the Caribbean. Every room has a plunge pool!

A Day in the Life of a Villa Vacation

Check the blog - my incredible trip to The Tryall Club earlier this year is finally live.

There’s something about the privacy of a villa that takes your relaxation to a whole new level… here’s how we spend our days at the Caribbean’s best villa resort.

9AM - ☕️ enjoy your Jamaican Blue Mtn coffee on your private balcony or patio before joining the rest of your group for breakfast.

10AM - ⛳️ or 🧘🏽‍♀️ it’s a toss up between golf or spa. The Tryall Golf Course is legendary and the spa was recently rebuilt so you’ll definitely want to fit both in during your stay.

12PM - 🏖️ lunch at the beach club is where you’ll find us - the views, the vibe, and the chilly cocktails are just what we needed.

It’s always sailing season in the Caribbean!

Certain times of the year are better than others. Come December, the marinas around the Caribbean will be full of beautiful yachts, and the beach bars will be full of merrymakers.

The first question we ask all our interested charter clients is - what type of charter do you want?

✨Bareboat Charter: You rent the catamaran without a crew and are responsible for sailing and navigating it. Requires sailing experience or certification.
✨Crewed Charter: Includes a professional crew (captain, chef, and sometimes additional staff). Ideal for those who want a more relaxed experience without worrying about operating the vessel.
✨Skippered Charter: Comes with a skipper (captain) but no full crew. The skipper takes care of sailing and navigation while you focus on leisure.

Clients L❤️VE the Eden Rock St. Barths Hotel for so many reasons, with “location, location, location” always being top of the list.

This hotel is perfectly situated near the airport, but don’t worry, those tiny planes are more photogenic than they are a nuisance. Close to all the island’s best dining and walking distance to the see-and-be-see Nikki Beach, where if you’re like me, you’ll fantasize over their jazzy Sunday afternoons in the Caribbean sun!
