Day 4
Family Road Trip

Began our day with some driving that ended us with a stop at Abraham Lincolns Birthplace and Childhood home. We were able to add another Junior Ranger Badge to our collection.

Went to our hotel for some fun times and more memories.

Ended the day with my 1st trip to Buc-ee's. Wowzers now that is a stop! I feel like you can't really call it a gas station. That would be insulting.

Currently still in Kentucky. This trip was very much impromptu, so everydays adventure was planned in about 30 minutes.

Stay tuned Day 5 will be our last.

Day 3 of our family Road Trip

Started the day at the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory. It was walking distance from our hotel, a perfect way to start the morning.
We had an opportunity to select a players bat to have a photo with I had to take it on back and selected Babe Ruth. The walk through the museum was amazing. I won't spoil it for anyone. We all loved the museum (and gift shop).

We were starving and couldn't resist having Blaze Pizza for lunch. Soooo yummy

Then we realized we needed a little time in nature and out of the car. So we pivoted to Tom Sawyer State Park. What a large and beautiful property. We took a nice little hike, built a survival shelter, said hello to lots of puppies, and did some workouts on their equiptment.

We were ready for a break so we checked in again at another Holiday Inn. This time we found a 1 bedroom suite, which our daughter thought was soooo cool. Since we loved it the night before we stayed at another.

Found a local Walmart to load up on some road trip supplies.

Then we met for dinner with some friends at a local restaurant Joella's Hot Chicken. This place did not disappoint!

What a day. It was nice to rest after this adventure.

Family Road Trip
Day 2

We ventured out to Williamstown, Kentucky where we spent the day at the Ark Encounter. This was easily a full day excursion. With animal encounters, carousel, virtual adventures, so many food options ranging from quick service to sit downs, and a visitor center where they offer conference and performance on select days. It was a beautiful day, perfect for walking around this beautiful property.

We kept moving after that and headed to Louisville, Kentucky so we could visit our favorite grocer Publix! Have you ever been to a grocery store that had an upper deck dining area? WHAT we loved it so much we took our dinner up there and hang out. What an experience.

Ended the night at the Holiday Inn Express in downtown Louisville. We are now walking distance to tomorrow's adventure.

Day 1 began with renting a vehicle through Budget, a service I also offer to clients. We then spent the night at Tru by Hilton, which exceeded expectations. The continental breakfast was impeccable, and the hotel's modern amenities and friendly staff made for a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this hotel. Tru by Hilton

We ended out day in Monroe, OH and relaxed as we prepared for our next day full of adventure! STAY TUNED
