Our first extraordinary idea? A six month rock climbing tour throughout North America, promoting environmental stewardship with Access Fund among the outdoor community. About the project:
The project blends both outdoor athleticism and environmental stewardship through a five-month tour of North American rock climbing. The tour encompasses over 14,000 miles, 42 states, four provinces, 36 climbin
g areas and approximately 1,200 climbing hours. We will be documenting this journey through articles, photographs, established websites and social media accounts and putting the entire experience together into a documentary film. Our Objectives:
In addition to jumpstarting our mission to inspire everyday people to live extraordinarily, we want to use this trip as a vehicle to promote a worthy cause beyond ourselves. We are both passionate about wild places and being able to escape to them to ski, climb, bike, kayak, etc. Because of this, we are partnering with one of the most recognized & respected non-profits in the outdoor industry, Access Fund- part of the Outdoor Alliance, to fulfill this role. The Access Fund benefits both outdoor athletes and wild places and is backed in part by the National Conservation Alliance. We will be supporting Access Fund objectives by providing hands-on fieldwork in support of two of its initiatives: Stewardship and Conservation; and Education. Part of our contributions to Access Fund will include: organizing environmental cleanups; discussing environmental stewardship in wild places with people and organizations around North America, promoting environmental stewardship and the Access Fund through our website.
