🛳 Okayyyy... let's talk about FOOD! One thing Disney Cruise Line is known for is the quality of their food, and I can attest that it did not disappoint! I also loved how many options there were on the ship.
Breakfast was a GIANT buffet of anything you could dream up (including Mickey waffles every day!) that was then completely reimagined at lunch with a ton of new options, including a themed international station. Buffet not your thing? No problem! Room service is available all day, and there is also a pizza station, sandwich and fresh fruit deli, burger and chicken tender stand, and customizable shawarma station (which I may or may not have frequented every single day... 👀) available until 11pm. Those are super convenient for grabbing right next to the pools.
For dinner, Disney offers rotational dining, meaning you get the same servers each night but you get a different restaurant with entirely new menu. It's really fun to get to know the team in charge of you - and they learn a ton about you, which helps them provide better service. Each night, our drinks-of-choice were waiting at our table for us (even our daughter's lactose-free milk) and they are able to make entree suggestions based on what you've liked throughout the sailing. I LOVED all the "fancy" options - my husband had oysters and escargot, and I was able to finally try beef Wellington. Our son? Well... he lived off of Mickey ice cream bars 😅
But the best part...? All of this is already included in your cruise fare! Overall, we give Disney 10/10 for their dining experience.
🛳 And now, our stateroom! We considered interior but decided on an ocean view room - and we were so glad we did. I loved being able to watch the waves outside our porthole, and the very first thing we heard every morning was the curtains being flung open by the kids so they could see where we were.
I was pleasantly surprised about the size of our room - we thought it was huge (compared to what we were expecting with a cruise!) And the split bathrooms were SO. NICE. Those of you with kids can understand why having two sinks is great. haha And the shower was really big, too - my husband is 6'4" so he appreciated that. We also loved the curtain between us and the kids - it really felt like separate rooms.
The best part, though? The stateroom attendants. They are in and out all day resetting your room, turning it down for the night, cleaning, restocking... And they always seemed to be in the hall in case you needed something (like being let into our stateroom after forgotten keys...) I spoke with our attendant on the first day about needing ice in the room at night, if possible, and he had it there for me at 9pm on the nose each .day He also learned our names and addressed us personally whenever he saw us. We were so impressed with him!
I also threw in some pics of our door decor - we made it to the semi-finals in the contest put on by some other cruisers! haha 🏆
