"Very responsive host with clear, complete instructions. No difficult tasks when checking out! Spacious studio with separate area for KING size bed. Can not see tv if laying in bed if that’s your thing but place is exactly as described. It’s in a quiet, safe, area. As indicated you can walk easily to the beach but if you are packing more than a beach bag you will want a cart or to drive. Parking was easy (which may have been the time of year) but if you have the means someone could drop off and easily walk back. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Beth for being such a great host and offering a great opportunity at a reasonable rate."

We have now added a TV to the "bedroom" area. This is only a smart tv option but at least if people want to watch from bed they can!

From Mike's Weather Page. The potential outlook on the storm now named Francine. Shouldn't be a direct hit our direction but we will see some high surf and storms. Looks like Wednesday ish landfall. Make sure to follow Mike's page!

Latest HAFS model shows what is likely after Francine makes landfall. Some dry air wrapping in around the east side. Potential feeder bands still pulling up from the Gulf. These can be sneaky strong with a lot of rain. Some likely into the Florida panhandle northward. Timing here overnight Wednesday into Thursday. www.spaghettimodels.com

Don't be that guest!

This year has been a year of several guests who have really pushed the envelope. This is sheer disrespect though. Broken blinds, towels so dirty we have to replace them, and then why stuff something in the AC vent? Come on!

And your hose has every right to file a charge with Airbnb for getting paid back for this. And the host will win.

Our cleaner worked an extra hour to get this situated and cleaned. And we have to replace items. I get that stuff happens but this is not ok of any guest in any situation.

Do Better!

We tried for a while to have beach towels and people kept taking them home. I for sure would love to provide these for guests but it just wasn't cost effective.....and condiments. Oh my! People I think drink condiments ;)

This place is so accommodating with the private pool and beach so close to our room. Loved cooking in our own kitchen (with every cooking supply you need). "We loved our stay here and were comfortable, it was perfect for my husband, I and our 2 small kids. Short walk to Navarre Beach and the sound side is an even shorter walk across the corner, very quiet and calm area. Opal beach is a short drive away as well, all beautiful! the pool looked so nice but it was still too chilly to swim. The kitchen has just about all the pots and utensils to cook with, super helpful we made some great breakfasts after grabbing some groceries on the way in. my kids loved it and were so excited! Beth was also always very responsive and gave clear easy instructions for check in/check out. Much appreciated!"

We are VERY excited to see this project start happening. The area takes into consideration the health and safety of all the sea life and doing this restoration will actually help our shoreline and long term will also help wildlife in the area!

The Navarre Beach Restoration Project will tentatively begin on Navarre Beach with the mobilization of equipment starting as soon as November 27, 2024. The restoration limits are from approximately 900 feet east of the Navarre Beach Pier and continue west to the Gulf Islands National Seashore property. The contractor is expected to work from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the equipment mobilization period. The Glenn Edwards hopper dredge is tentatively expected to arrive on site in mid-December, 2024.

Dredging is expected to start as soon as the week of December 15, 2024; weather permitting and the estimated 30 days of sand placement is expected to be completed by late January 2025. Endangered species monitoring and relocations, including for sea turtles, will be performed by Santa Rosa County consistent with the county’s environmental permits.



Construction will typically operate 24/7, including holidays, and at any time during construction, portions of the beach may be closed to the public for public safety. Beaches surrounding the construction area will be open to the public and sand ramps will be placed over the pipeline to allow beachgoers access to the gulf.

The next storm of the season looks to bend before getting our direction. We will probably still have some out bands and rough surf. Keep an eye on the flags in the area. And stay safe!

Hurricane season is upon us. This is Baryl from yesterday. He is the earliest ever recorded Cat 5 and is still a ways out. A bit scary for those in his path. We are keeping a close eye because he could thread the needle by the Yucatan and hit the open and HOT waters of the Gulf causing concern for the emerald Coast. It was nice having no storms last year. This one is going to be a year of watching I think.

I like to tune into Mike's Weather Page for updates as he does a nice job of talking in laymen's terms and going over many scenarios.

Busy season is upon us! Friendly reminder of the beach flag color system. PLEASE take this seriously. It is not something where your family, us as a host or the lifeguards want to see you in danger. Also remember, you put yourself in danger you in turn put the lifeguards in danger!
