Alongside previously announced artists such as Annea Lockwood, Oneohtrix Point Never, Svitlana Nianio, Autechre, and Jenny Hval, we are adding 27 new names to the line-up, among them SUNN O))), Julia Holter, Jlin & Florence To, Lonnie Holley, and Simo Cell, who is performing live for the first time ever.

Neon Dance: Last and First Men

A future race of humans finds itself on the verge of extinction. Almost all that’s left in the world are lone and surreal monuments, beaming their message into the wilderness.
Based on the ground-breaking 1930 novel by Olaf Stapledon, Last and First Men (2020) concluded the beautiful career of the Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson. As part of Festival of Tomorrow, Neon Dance presents a stunning and unique contemporary dance performance set to the backdrop of Johann Jóhannsson’s 16mm black and white film, with narration from Tilda Swinton and original score composed by Jóhannsson and Yair Elazar Glotman. Featuring choreography from Adrienne Hart and costume design from the award winning Ana Rajcevic and Mikio Sakabe with performances from Fukiko Takase, Kelvin Kilonzo & Makiko Aoyama.
