Last weekend Share The Magic Travel-Janine Brewington and I took a weekend trip to Walt Disney World with the intentions of staying at Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. However, as we stood in line to board our flight to Orlando, I received a call from the hotel letting me know that due to a maintenance issue, they would need to move us. The cast member on the other end of the line asked how we’d feel about an upgrade to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Uhh we’d feel fantastic about such a burdensome upgrade to a hotel with actual animals roaming the savanna right outside 🤣 And so we were told to head straight to AKL when we landed. At check in, the cast members were so apologetic about us being moved from Riverside to Animal Kingdom Lodge, they were so sorry for the inconvenience - WE’RE NOT!!! This is the greatest pixie dust experience EVER! 😂 We told them that it was no inconvenience to us at all, we were ecstatic to have the opportunity to stay there. The biggest disappointment of the whole weekend is that it wasn’t longer and we didn’t have enough time to bask in the awesomeness that is Animal Kingdom Lodge 🦒🦓
