The peak of calving seson in southern serengeti though big herds are moving towards kusini and naibadad hill Some are still roaming arround open pleains in ndutu and gol mountains and the rain has stopeed for a while now! calvingseson
Migration upadae from our fellow guide Filbert Mbise is still roaming in ndutu area spread out from marsh area moving into open plains at southern part of ndutu! This make the lives of predators like lion , leopard and cheetahs to be happy life as there is plenty of food now
Great time today having breakfast while watching wildebeest crossing lake Ndutu! Large herds are moving into naibadad hill plains and the woodland around big marsh and along lake ndutu
Migration is all over from oldivai musseum and along the open plains Moving into gol , and shamba la maharage towards the plains north of the big and small marsh while other large herds are in the woodlland trying to get into higher ground where its not so wet to avoid infection in their hooves! Good number of cats along lake ndutu and the marsh area

Unbelievable number of wildebeest yesterday migrating towards Naaabi hill from Masai kopjes on the eastern side of Serengeti and makoma hills plains on their way to southern Serengeti ready for calving season , it has been raining a lot from naabi hill and more kopjes

An amazing drive today from central serengeti to Lamai we saw a lot of wildebeest moving towards Masai kopjes and ngarenanyuki river ,turner springs, others are in makoma hills in long lines to eastern side of Serengeti
Although the migration is about to get into central serengeti , we still have good numbers of wildebeest and Zebras here at Kogatende in north and today we saw this crossing happened at crossing point number 7while large herds are grazing at Lamai wedge slowly moving towards the Mara river
While searching for migration which is moving so fast to the western part of the area we are lucky to see this mother with her calf some where in the middle of no where ! Large herds are going towards ikorongo and grumeti reserves
update yesterday we had been lucky to see large herd of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara river at crossing point no 2 from north to the southern part of the area moving into the hillsides of kogatende grazing on short grass and taking a break there ! Was great dramatic scene unfold when wildebeest cross the Mara river
I was driving today from ngorongoro to Lamai up in kogatende it was raining a lot almost all over the central and northern Serengeti, I have seen some herds of Zebras and Wildebeest coming into Ikorongo / Grumeti reserves but large herds from lichee Tenno going west side in long lines, I have also seen some in the kopjes near kurya hills and western side of Lamai camp , I think due to early rains it might make the herds to move in central Serengeti but all depend on rain patterns Tanzania update safari list amp

Few days ago the mara river bridge was flooded due to ongoing rainfall in the area and this localized rain made the migration of wildebeest going on as they follow the rain storm! Crossings are still going on coming from northern part of the river to the south!

Can you count the horns? Migration is still going on at northern Serengeti , herds are spread out across the northern part pushing across the Mara river to get to the green pastures at Lamai wedge to Masai Mara though they go back and forth within the same day,

Migration is now every where here at Kogatende in the Northern Serengeti, from the foot hills of the Nyamalumbwa plains, and moving towards the Mara River. Some are crossing the rivers others are going into the woodlands in large herds, with lots of cats sightings as well at Gardenia Valley
Migration upadate today there are hundreds of wildebeest comming into nyamalumbwa plains from kuka hills and bologonja moving towards gardenia valley But also our fellow guides in western serengeti have seen mega herds wondering along side grumeti river meander while at musabi plain is covered by wildebeest and Zebras on their long journey to northern serengeti
Migration update today we had great time watching the migration coming into gardenia valley in large herd coming from sand river while the other large herd are at kunga circuit going into the woodland where we set Serengeti safari camp

Large herds also seen near the sand river where clise to the plains that comes into Gardenia valley!
