Some of my photos of the recently “amplified” Voyager of the Seas by Royal Caribbean Cruises taken on 03 December 2019. Key changes:
- Vitality Spa and Fitness Centre moved from deck 11/12 forward to a much smaller area on deck 12 aft. Cabins have been added in the original area
- new water slides
- Johnny Rockets has been removed
- Sorrento’s Pizzeria has been removed and is now merged with Cafe Promenade
In comparison to other amplifications on the Voyager/Freedom Class ships this is not as through and extensive

Royal Caribbean International’s two-month nationwide cruise ship design competition has come to a spectacular finish, with a myriad of eye-popping entries from aspiring students. It finally crowned 24-year old student Clifford Goh today as the grand-prize winner with his “SEASTADIUM” design, which saw him walking away with a cruise on the upcoming new ship Spectrum of the Seas and S$5,000 cash.

Royal Caribbean, a leading global cruise brand in pushing boundaries with the most innovative fleet at sea, challenged tertiary students in its first ever competition Brainwaves: Reimagining the Future of Cruising’ earlier in July to come up with never-before-seen, innovative ideas for a cruise ship that appeals to a growing cruising demographic – millennials.

Crystal Cruises is set to restore the SS United States oceanliner...in the past Norwegian Cruise Line had looked at it but instead opted for the France which became the Norway...great news.

Tied to a pier in Philadelphia for 20 years, the rusted, stripped, but still majestic S.S. United States could return to service as a luxury cruise ship.
