🇲🇽 I’ve been to Cabo San Lucas several times but had not stayed in the San Jose Del Cabo area before. We took a trip to town today to explore and just loved this laid back artsy vibe town. It’s so different than Cabo San Lucas! We arrived on Friday 13th at the same time as Tropical Storm Ileana, turning our two hour flight from LAX into a 7 hour flight. We’ve had TWO earthquakes in one trip…it’s been quite the experience! Now it’s all fun 💃and sun ☀️! The resort is lovely and the views are spectacular 😎 and listening to the west coast surf off of your balcony isn’t so bad either!

Just Booked! 🚂🚂
All the years I've been to Alaska, from the early 90's while onboard Holland America Line to now having a cabin on the Kenai Peninsula, I have never been on Alaska Railroad. This July we will board the Denali Star and experience the GoldStar service up to Talkeetna and see Denali with a flight seeing trip. Maybe we will even choose to land on the glacier! We are finishing up a dreamy week aboard SeaDream II. Weather changed up our schedule and the captain and crew adapted perfectly. We had an unexpected overnight in Guadeloupe (avoiding some very high seas) followed by a day in St. Barths and then a day today in popular Jost Van D**e, BVI. While in St. Barths we walked the town, visited Shell Beach, and had a wonderful lunch ashore. Later in the afternoon I opted for SeaDream’s water sports and convinced some very fun ladies to join me in a banana boat ride and waterslide in the St Barth’s harbor. Does it get any better?!?!

Today in Jost it was all beach and included SeaDream’s famous champagne and caviar party on the beach and of course a trip to Soggy Dollar Bar and Foxy’s. Once again, SeaDream has exceeded our expectations and I can’t wait to be aboard again! 🏝️🚢🍹

Guadeloupe's Les Saintes is a small French gem in the Caribbean. The island is so green and lush with a quaint little “downtown” area where our tender dropped us off. We just walked and explored today and of course had to find a beachfront bar to kick back and have a beer and people watch.

SeaDream has their waterslide ready for us today and the water marina has been open at the rear of the yacht for anyone wanting to take advantage of the included jet skis, paddle boards, or just swimming in the sea. 🤿🏊🌅

Last night we had a pop up DJ night at the Top Of The Yacht Bar. One of our passengers sailing is a professional DJ and he treated us to a great disco under the stars. I just love the “why not” nature of the staff here and the extra efforts they take to please their guests.

We arrived into Bequia last night and went ashore for a fabulous dinner at Laura's Bar & Resto on the boardwalk, waterfront. Oh my gosh, what a treat! Today we took a catamaran over to Mustique where we dined at Basil’s Bar for lunch after touring this quaint little pristine island full of the rich and famous. We drove past Mick Jagger’s house (we saw his son out playing soccer with his mates as well 😜) , Tommy Hilfiger’s estate, Kelly Rippa’s hilltop mansion (where Princess Kate and Prince William honeymooned) just to name a few. We now sail for Îles des Saintes in Guadeloupe.

SeaDream continues to pamper us with fantastic service, treats in the room, and just an overall superb experience. 🚢

SeaDream II’s first stop - The Tobago Cays 🏝️ Tobago Cays are an archipelago located in the Southern Grenadines of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines comprising five small islands and extensive coral reefs. The snorkeling here is fantastic. We got a small taste of it today snorkeling amongst the majestic sea turtles. We took a zodiac from the yacht and hopped off on what feels like Gilligan’s island! This afternoon we will set sail for Bequia where we will overnight and tomorrow we have a catamaran tour booked to magical Mustique, home to 140 private villas owned by the likes of people like Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Ralph Lauren. Oooh La La!

Fun fact about SeaDream, the majority of the clientele are repeat passengers! Out of only 110 passengers on board, we immediately recognized two couples we cruised Feb 2023 with!

We are excited to be on board SeaDream Yacht Club and sailing soon! We had a great overnight in Barbados, which I highly recommend before any cruise. In fact, we had a medical emergency in flight and almost had to divert. Had we done that we would’ve missed our cruise. Another reason for trip insurance! Stay tuned for daily updates as we cruise amongst some excellent ports in the Caribbean.

🍾New Year, New Destinations!

I've been searching for the perfect winter getaway and I found a great one! My husband and I loved SeaDream Yacht Club so much last year we are going again, but have a few new tropical islands to visit! SeaDream I and II are small yachts, carrying 112 passengers each. These small yachts call on the most intimate ports which larger ships cannot reach. A small sampling of the inclusive experience on board includes an ocean view stateroom for everyone, gourmet dining and open bar, water toys from the yacht's marina and even bicycles to take ashore while in port.

🛳In a few short weeks we will set sail from Bridgetown, Barbados and visit Tobago Cays and Bequia (where we overnight) in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (shown in the photo here), Guadeloupe and St. Barths in the French West Indies, followed by Soper's Hole, Tortola, Norman Island and Jost Van D**e (love us some Soggy Dollar Bar!!) all in the British Virgin Islands and end this magical voyage in Sint Maarten.

So while the winter weather sweeps across the U.S. and if you are dreaming of somewhere warm, give me a shout and let's see what kind of winter getaway we can find you!
