Home and wishing I was back on vacation! Anyone else live for vacation? 😎
I wanted to take a moment and give my personal opinion of cruising for the first time.
I was quite anxious to be traveling by myself and on my first ever cruise as well. I had every motion sickness medicine packed and ready to go just in case!
I am happy to report that I had no motion sickness at all. So if you are afraid of that I wouldn’t be. You can feel the boat rocking or swaying from time to time, but that’s about it. I was told that our sailing was the rockiest some had ever been on and I was completely fine. 🚢
I sailed on the Norwegian Jade, which is one of there smaller ships. No fancy water slides, so there were not many kids at all. They did have activities and clubs for the ones on there though. The food was all very good. I had the breakfast buffet each morning and sit down dinners in the main dining rooms. I never had a bad meal! The Teppanyaki specialty restaurant was delish and tons of fun!
They had a show every night. Along with activities throughout the day and evening. Bars and lounges were plenty with evening entertainment and music. Casino for those that fancy betting it all or a little in my case!
We never did make it onto Great Stirrup Cay as it was too windy to tender, but I am happy to report NCL is in the midst of building a dock to alleviate that issue.
All in all I had a great first cruise and cannot wait to set out on another one in the near future. If you have always thought cruising wasn’t for you…let’s talk. I didn’t think it was for me either.💙
