Set in a beautiful quiet location in the countryside of the Lot et Garonne region, Lamamotte Gite is a wonderful place to come and stay for a relaxing break, cycling or activity holiday. The Gite is surrounded by fields and orchards and a long drive leads to plentiful private parking along with a large swimming pool and gardens. The Gite has 2 bedrooms (1 king bed/or 2 twins and a double) with a m

odern en suite bathroom with toilet, bath, shower and there is an additional toilet room off the hallway. There is a fully equipped kitchen including all utensils, large fridge freezer, oven, grill, microwave and dishwasher. There is an additional utility room including a washing machine and utility sink. The Gite is heated by a wood burning stove and electric radiators in each room. Secure storage can be provided for any type of sports equipment. Pets are welcome on request. There is a Smart TV, with English Freesat, Blu-ray player and free WiFi. The Gite has a private garden with private terrace with shade, dining table and BBQ. There is a 10 x 5 meter swimming pool with integral whirlpool bath area. The pool is not heated and is closed October to April. There is a Pétanque court and Table Tennis table. There are plenty of activities including walking, cycling, fishing, tennis, canoeing, golf plus wine tasting and gastronomy, with top quality local producers and restaurants. If you require an activity holiday, the owners, Jess and Mark can organise activities for you and take you out on local walking and cycling routes. Bike hire can also be organised. We cater for larger groups of up to 8 people with 3 further bedrooms available in the farmhouse, next door to the Gite. Self catering or a half board option can be provided. There are local markets and the nearest shops and restaurants are 5 kilometres away so transport is recommended. The nearest airport is Bergerac which is 40 minutes away, or Bordeaux which is 1.5 hours away. If you want to go to a local wine tour and tasting, we would definitely recommend Lou Gaillot at Casseneuil.
It is a small winery that has been making wine for six generations in the family.
The tour is very interesting and you get to see the vines, the machinery and the cave followed by a tasting of some lovely wines.
You can have your Tour in French or English.

South West France Holidays

The gite has 2 double bedrooms with a modern en suite bathroom with toilet, bath, shower and there is an additional toilet room off the hallway. There is a fully equipped kitchen including all utensils, large fridge freezer, oven, grill, microwave and dishwasher. There is an additional utility room including a washing machine and utility sink. The gite is heated by a wood burning stove and electric radiators in each room. Secure storage can be provided for any type of sports equipment. Lamamotte Gite is for adults only. Pets are welcome on request. There is English TV, BluRay player and free WiFi. The gite has private gardens and a private terrace with shade, dining table and BBQ. There is a 10x5x1.4m deep seasonal swimming pool with integral whirlpool bath. There is a Petanque court for Boules and table tennis on request. Lamamotte has beautiful scenery for artists and photographers, including fantastic bird and wildlife for those interested in nature. Activities within the vicinity include walking and cycling routes, fishing, kayaking, golf, tennis courts plus wine tasting and gastronomy with top quality local producers and restaurants. The owners, Jess and Mark are available to assist and guide all activities by request. Bike hire is available for an additional charge. Cycling groups and clubs welcome. For walking enthusiasts, we now have two guided walking tours every week (Tuesday 6k and Thursday 12k) 2 euros per person, per walk.

Lamamotte Gite is available for people who wish to fully self cater, however, bed and breakfast is also available and/or evening cuisine of a high standard can be provided on request for an additional charge.

The Gite has 2 double bedrooms, however larger parties can be accomodated within the main house. Please request at the time of booking.

Lamamotte is surrounded by beautiful Bastide villages and chateaux, with markets, shops and restaurants. There are evening night markets in July and August in nearby villages where food and wines are sold by local producers and entertainment is provided. There are music nights, festivals and exhibitions nearby throughout the summer.
