Should you always have an excursion booked? Are you the type of traveler who wants to see & do as much as possible, but not have to worry about the details? Then you might want to have an excursion booked in every port. Are you the type of person who likes to go with the flow and decide on the go or do things on your own? Then you might not want to book excursions. If you have a must-do that requires tickets, is a long day, and/or is far from the port, I'd definitely recommend booking an excursion in advance...usually directly through the cruise line in case there are any hiccups. There are some ports that are amazing and easy to explore on your own without an excursion. This is Ketchikan, Alaska...just a short walk from the port. This port has a lot that is easy to do on your own without even having transportation...explore shops & restaurants, explore the salmon walk, watch the Lumberjack Show (although I'd recommend tickets in advance). Making Your Family Vacations Magical

I think I was bitten at birth by a travel bug. For as long as I can remember, I have loved making special memories with my family and part of that for me includes travel experiences.

I live in Utah and am originally a California girl. I am a wife to an awesome husband and we have three great kids who are wonderful travelers! Together we enjoyed many visits to Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and Disney Cruises. We love non-Disney travel, too and have visited: Hawaii, Mexico, Bahamas, Niagara Falls, Costa Rica, New York, much of New England, Washington, DC, Williamsburg, all over California, and throughout much of the Western states.

It is now my joy and privilege to help other families make special memories on their vacations. I use my experience and training to help customize your vacation to fit your family so you can focus on having fun, relaxing, and making memories.
