This was my first season with Topdeck and I’m already counting down for round 2 😎

- Why did you become a Trip Leader?
I LOVEEE travelling, meeting new people and teaching allll things Europe so it was a no brainer for me! 🤝🏼

- Favourite Topdeck trip?
Favourite trip has to be the Get Social: Central + Eastern European! You see SO much, stay in great places and it’s the perfect length for a Euro trip 🥳

- Favourite food & where?
Mushroom + truffle spaghetti in Roma without a doubt. I still dream about that pasta 🤤😍

Connect with REAL people on a 2025 trip — just like Nicole and her boyfriend Gerrit did with James on their Get Social: Central Europe Highlights trip back in 2018.

"We hung out and became mates on the trip. We kept in touch and when my sister and I went to Australia a few months later, James made it out to visit. Then in 2019, we all met in Scotland and Ireland. This year, we're continuing the tradition on a Topdeck trip in Spain and Portugal!"

Meet Siobhan and Lachlan - two Topdeckers who connected on a trip in 2015 and just got ENGAGED in Iceland 💍🫶🥹

"My partner Lachlan and I met on the 32-day European escapade Topdeck trip in 2015 on our respective gap years when we were 18.

I was the only English girl on the tour not knowing anyone with about 30 Aussies including Lachlan. On the tour, Lachlan and I very quickly became inseparable and spent all of our time together for the whole trip.

After the tour Lachlan came to meet my family and we talked every day for the next year when he returned to Australia whilst I was still in England. The following year I was able to do a university exchange semester in Australia and we decided to be together. We then had a long-distance relationship for 3 and a half years before I moved to Australia in 2020.

This year we got engaged whilst travelling in Iceland and plan to get married in Italy in 2026. Our officiant, best man and one of our groomsmen were also on our same Topdeck tour and we have all been friends ever since."

- How long have you been a Trip Leader for Topdeck?
Just over a year ago, I walked into a building in Brisbane and had my interview to become a Trip Leader...(spoiler alert: I got the job!)

- Why did you become a Trip Leader?
You know when you watch a movie or TV series and it was so good you wish you could go back and watch it again for the first time? The best way to get the feeling of experiencing Europe for the first time all over again is to watch others experience it!

- Favourite Topdeck trip?
Play & Pause: Central Europe Highlights. I'd love to say it's because it was the first trip I ever led...but the truth is you get to see all the must see things in Europe AS WELL AS get that sweet sweet double dip into the alps. First in Switzerland, then again in Austria.

- Favourite food & where?
Fondue in Switzerland. Cheese. Bread. Pickles. Potatoes. I'm struggling to find a downside?

- How long have you been a Trip Leader for Topdeck?
I have only recently just started working as a trip leader for Topdeck this year and boy what a year it’s been! So many amazing trips and even more incredible passengers!

- Why did you become a Trip Leader?
I obviously love a bit of travel, chatting with new people from all walks of life, and getting on a microphone and making a fool of myself on a daily basis. But the real reason I chose to become a trip leader was to help create those unforgettable memories that people will have forever!

- Favourite Topdeck trip?
My favourite trip so far has been the Southern Eastern Europe Highlights. If the Balkans are not on your travel list, get them added!! Stunning, need I say more

- Favourite food & where (country/city)?
I’m sure beer is considered a food group in Germany
