This is my type of opening day! Who doesn’t love that new lounge smell?

The new Delta Airlines lounge opened today at LAX and I can say without a doubt this is the best domestic lounge that I have been to in the US. The United Polaris lounges comes closely behind, but those are only for booked business class passengers while this new lounge is for all passengers with Delta club membership.

If Virgin Voyages and W hotels were to create a lounge, this would be it. However unlike W hotels this lounge is functional and practical. The massive size with a huge outdoor patio and sitting area are absolutely impressive and the outdoor stirring area even has a full bar.

For me the Virgin Atlantic lounge in London has always been one of my favourites in the world but this lounge has managed to surpass my expectations. This lounge gives a reason to arrive early for a LAX flight early and also not dread a layover. I mean, it has a taco station, and I never miss an opportunity for tacos.
