One last post from the Iberian Peninsula, this time from the dehesa of Jabugo, where these Iberian pigs are busy rooting for acorns.
Jabugo's pigs roam freely (each pig needs about 1.5 football pitches of dehesa to support its acorn habit). The exercise and diet they enjoy all effect the flavour of their meat, which is cured for 36 month to make the finest jamon, jamon iberico de bellota...

Tilting at windmills in Vejer. Where is Don Quixote when you need him? 😄
A strong easterly wind, the Levant, blows most fiercely just to the south of Vejer, through the Strait of Gibraltar, making the town a good spot for wind power indeed. (Though Vejer's windmills had to be specially adapted to withstand the strongest gusts...)

This time in 2009, we were researching our first drive in northern Yunnan when we took this shot near Wenhai, just outside Lijiang. This beautiful region has since become one of our most popular destinations. Although Lijiang itself can get terribly crowded, happily there are still places to get away from it all!

A few more shots to share from our most recent trip to Burma. These were taken in Bagan and around Inle Lake, two of the most popular destinations in the country, and for very good reason...
Bagan was the Burmese capital for several centuries, which has left the region littered with thousands of ancient red brick temples and pagodas - and a real treat for photographers...
Inle Lake sits cupped in the Shan Hills. Fringed by floating villages and gardens, the lake is the home of Burma's leg-rowing fishermen, and a fascinating place to spend a few days exploring...

Five years ago this month we were just wrapping up a wonderful (if chilly) trip in Tibet.
This girl was celebrating a relative`s wedding somewhere outside Xiaojin in Sichuan`s ethnically Tibetan Aba region. We were shown the warmest hospitality - it's not everywhere that random passersby would be welcomed into the wedding photos!
