We also stopped by the Avondale Railway Station, which is another interesting, historic place to visit. In the summer, they sometimes offer rides on the little train.

I remember when one of the train cars was set up as a dining car complete with a tea room to buy a light lunch. Anyone else visit when that was there?

There's a lovely little Heritage Village we discovered in Victoria, near Carbonear. Unfortunately, it wasn't open when we were there, but it was still a nice place to explore and get an idea of some of its history as the site of a planned POW camp. Had a great visit to the Cateracts Provincial Park today. It's an incredible spot to see, and an easy drive down a well-maintained dirt road, not far from Colinet. There are a LOT of stairs, but there's a viewpoint at the top of the stairs down a short, easy trail if you don't want to do the stairs. Then we surprised a young moose on the way out, but it ran too fast to get a good pic.
