We are breeders of a very new type of versatile hunting dog in the United States, the Small Munsterlander. We welcome other Small Munsterlander owners to share their pictures and experiences with all of us as we set out on our journey to introduce this amazing breed to the US. The Small Munsterlander's intelligence, hunting drive and eager to please personalities make them stand out as the dog of

choice for us. Originally from Germany where they are known as the Kleiner Münsterländer (and formerly as the Kleiner Münsterländer Vorstehhunde), the Small Munsterlanders (SM) or “Moonsters” are quickly gaining popularity in the US as the newest versatile hunting breed, although they are one of the oldest hunting breeds in Germany. Their intelligence makes them readily trainable. They are best known for their natural ability to point, retrieve and track for all realms of hunting, such as waterfowl, upland game birds and fur bearing animals.
