History Tours of Britain was created in April 2011 by Claire and Tim Ridgway, owners of the popular historical websites www.TheAnneBoleynFiles.com, www.ElizabethFiles.com and www.TheHistoryFiles.com. The company ran its first historical tour, The Anne Boleyn Experience, in May 2010, trading as The Anne Boleyn Files, and the tour was a runaway success. nched it sold out within 1 week. The History Tours of Britain team consists of Tim Ridgway (Managing Director), Claire Ridgway (Executive Director) and Annabel Cook (Tour Manager).
