Had a fantastic lunch at The Lion at Thurne on Friday. Highly recommend the chicken and bacon salad, and superb value for money. Lovely staff as well.

If you're cruising, then it's just north of where the river Bure meets the river Thurne, and you'll see the Thurne windmill which is presently covered in scaffolding. Just head to the end of the d**e where there is plenty of mooring.
