Sky Valley, Georgia Sky Valley is a scenic mountain valley in Northeast Georgia situated on the northwest side of Rabun Sky Valley is the northernmost city in the state.

According to the U.S. Census in 2010, Sky Valley had a population of 272 full time residents and a total land area of 3 square miles. Sky Valley's population swells to over 2,000 people during peak season. Sky Valley is Georgia's highest incorporated city and one of the highest municipalities in the Eastern United States. hased a 2,500 acre cattle ranch in the area and developed the Sky Valley Resort for snow skiing in the North Georgia Mountains. In 1969, the Sky Valley Resort opened as the southernmost ski resort community in the United States with the only snow skiing facilities in Georgia. Sky Valley was incorporated as a city in March of 1978. Sky Valley is now home to a 18-hole championship golf course, hiking, fishing, tennis and swimming. The rustic elegance of this pristine mountain valley has now lured over 800 families to Sky Valley to become permanent or vacation home property owners. This hidden gem is nestled in a peaceful mountain valley laced with exquisite waterfalls, lush forests and mountain lakes. Many visitors come to Sky Valley simply to enjoy the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. 19th Hole After-Party in Sky Valley... good times waiting on tomorrow"s big celestial event

Shotgun start to today's Pre-eclipse golf tournament. The food vendors are getting set up and Silly Ridge Roundup will start playing this evening at 6 pm. Make sure to come out for this 19th hole after party! No admission fee to get in. No coolers or outside drinks allowed on the property. There will be a cash bar and food for sale. Come on out and join the party!!
