Although wildlife photo opportunities have been a bit limited for me so far this month, I have managed a few shots - here we have: A Red Deer Stag, A Red Squirrel, An Osprey, A Brown Hare, Red Deer Hinds with young, A Cuckoo, and of course, Hamish and Dougal :)

A few mammals seen so far this month: A Red Squirrel, Brown Hares, a Red Deer Stag (growing new antlers), and Hamish and Dougal.....

May is probably my favourite month of the whole year, and we have seen some great birds so far this month.



Here we have: A very cute young Dipper, a male Pied Flycatcher, a Dotterel, lekking Black Grouse, a Cuckoo, a male Goldeneye, an unseasonal Snow Bunting, and a White-Tailed Eagle....

Hi. We have had glorious weather for the entire first half of May here in the Cairngorms National Park , and I am pleased to say that I have been really busy with safari bookings, and have also managed a couple of days out birding on a non-professional basis.



I always have my camera/phone with me of course, so I thought I would share a few photos with you, starting with a few of my scenic efforts showing: A view of Ryvoan Pass from Cairngorm Mountain, early morning at Loch Morlich, a view from Cairngorm Mountain summit, nice light in Craigellachie birch wood, The Old Spey Bridge at Grantown and the wee lochan /reservoir on Craigellachie NNR....

Early April has seen the return of some of our iconic local speciality birds, joining the resident species, here we have: A Red Throated Diver, an Osprey, Black Throated Divers, a male Red Grouse, a Dipper, a male Ring Ouzel, and a pair of Goldeneyes....

Hi, I am pleased to report that I have been pretty busy with safaris so far in April, and of course, the weather has been perfect for wildlife watching.
