If you've ever thought about going to Iceland...don't stop thinking about it and make a plan to get here. I am currently on the Norwegian Prima (a beautiful new ship) and arrived yesterday in Iceland (after sailing across the Atlantic from New York...phew, that was a long time with no land in sight). I could not be more in awe of this beautiful country. Yesterday I got all geared up for the cold, boarded a RIB (rubber inflatable boat) and sped out into the Fjords to see the whales. While there weren't great numbers of them, I did get one humpback to swim right next to me on the rib and show us a bit of his/her stuff 🙂. WOW! And, we saw a few others too. But, the experience of being on this adventure was overwhelming (in the best kind of way) from start to finish. OMG, I cannot believe we have a week to experience more days like this.

It's been a busy start to 2023 for the travel industry. I've been working hard with my clients, both returning and new, to create some spectacular adventures. I've finally got a little "breathing space" to work on some of the future tours we've got planned. One is our Simply South Africa tour, which is in the prep stage, and slated for late February/early March 2024. I've just spent 3 weeks in South Africa, again! (This was my 5th time there!) I'm a person who usually wants somewhere new and different, but this amazing country never disappoints. This trip included Elephant Encounters, Helicopter Rides searching for Great Whites/Whales, scenic adventures, wine tasting, whale and dolphin watching that far exceeding my expectations, a 3 day safari, a Cape Town tour, and so much more. Here's a bunch of pics to whet your appetite.
