Live by Terror, Die by Pager Explosion—Hezbollah’s Worst Day(s) Ever!

I recently saw this spy flick where a free and democratic country was at war with a terrorist organization in a neighboring country. The terrorists stopped using cell phones out of fear that the intelligence agency of the democratic country would somehow infiltrate them. They switched to pagers—yo...

Israel launched a retaliatory strike against Hezbollah, after the terrorist organization killed 12 children and injured many more this weekend. The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that the strike today neutralized Hezbollah’s most senior military commander, Fuad Shukr. He was responsible for the deadly strike against the children playing soccer this weekend. His last significant action before death was the mass murder of children. Yeshua said that if you live by the sword, you will die by the sword (Matt. 26:52).

Shabbat Shalom! In the 59 years I have been on earth I have never experienced antisemitism to my face. Well, an Arab teen in London called me a baby killer in November. Let's just say, it has been rare. In fact, before October 7, 2023, I never experienced it online either. I mean—directed at me per...

If you want to understand what Saturday was like in Israel when we heard that four hostages were rescued, READ THIS!

On midday Saturday in Tel Aviv, my husband and I were sitting on the beach with our 2-year-old son when the lifeguard’s voice came over the loudspeaker. “Attention, citizens of Tel Aviv! We are thrilled to announce that four hostages have been rescued by the Israel Defense Forces alive! Noa Argamani, Andrey Kozlov, Almog Meir Jan, and Shlomi Ziv! Am Yisrael Chai!”

The cheers were immediate and ecstatic. People threw their children into the air. Strangers hugged strangers. Many openly wept. The clapping and singing and dancing spread all the way down the beach.

Similar scenes erupted all over Israel. Also in Poland. In Greece. In Australia. And in Jewish communities around the world.

Because it was Saturday, secular Israelis posted handwritten notes with the announcement and the names of the rescued hostages around religious neighborhoods to update their neighbors who observe the Sabbath and wouldn’t have been checking their phones or watching TV.

News anchors broke down in tears. Neighbors shouted out of their windows to announce the news to passersby on their way home from synagogue. The families of the rescued were rushed to the hospital to receive their loved ones, but in the towns where they lived, groups gathered around their homes with flags, waiting to welcome their neighbors home after eight months in captivity.

I’m home in Israel! But on to a more important subject—taking care of our soldiers.

A few weeks ago, Elana could not get ahold of her childhood friend, also named Elana. They had been working with Dovi, Elana’s husband to get proper shoes for all the soldiers in her son’s unit. My Elana feared that something happened to Ron, their son. A few hours later, she got the news—Ron had been shot by a Hamas terrorist in the stomach, just below his bulletproof vest.

We got the word out on social media to pray for Ron. The first night was scary, and it was not clear if he would live. Thankfully, he made it through the night and is now getting better. In other words: This is real. This war is no joke. And even though he will live, I cannot stress enough how our soldiers and citizens are living and coping with PTSD while dealing with a two-front war (Hamas in the south and Hezbollah in the north).

What about the Shoes?
While Ron is done fighting, many of his friends are still at battle, and it is embarrassing that they don’t have proper footwear or wear worn-out shoes after months of fighting. We ordered 30 pairs of high-quality combat boots, and they should be delivered soon. The cost is just under $4000. This is a very real way you can quite literally stand with Israel.

And then, yesterday, Elana was coming home by train from Tel Aviv when she saw a soldier with worn out boots. His whole unit is in the same situation. We will share with you details as soon as we get the sizes and numbers of shoes, but we will get them new shoes.

Brazil Report
I hope to make a video about our time in Brazil. I was invited to speak at one conference because the leader of FHOP (a House of Prayer in Brazil) saw a video I did about what we could and should learn from the Mike Bickle/IHOPKC situation. I reluctantly made that video after counseling with other leaders in Tikkun here in Israel. I was not looking to be sensational or capitalize on a tragic event. But there was much to learn. Vinnie Souza saw that video and invited me.

That opened up doors to other preaching opportunities in churches and to be on the largest Christian podcast in the country for young adults with 2 million subscribers. One of the things I challenged leaders to do was to make a commitment in writing that if they commit adultery or Clergy Sexual Abuse, they will be removed permanently from public ministry. They can be restored to Yeshua and be part of the body of Messiah—but they will be disqualified from public ministry. Clergy Sexual Abuse (where a minister has a sexual relationship with someone in his congregation) is an epidemic in Brazil, and culturally, it is not appropriate to confront a senior leader. We challenged this dangerous cultural mentality.

Our message was well received by many dozens of leaders. We’ll see what happens when the podcast airs and potentially millions of people hear it.

Rest
I’m looking forward to a restful Shabbat back here in Israel. Everything we do is in partnership with you. Please pray that I quickly overcome Jetlag, which begins tonight with hopefully sleeping through the night. Thanks for being on our team. We love you and bless you.

Until all Israel is saved (Rom. 11:26),

The most challenging issue for Israelis right now is weighing the importance of getting our living hostages home (as well as those deceased) against the need to destroy Hamas, a brutal terrorist organization that not only kills Israelis but puts their own people in the line of fire. On Friday, President Biden released a three-phrased plan that would get our hostages home and lead to an end of the war. The sticking point for both of us and our government is whether or not Hamas would still be in charge.

While I would prefer for Hamas to be destroyed and another entity to take charge of Gaza (not Israel! Maybe a pan-Arab colation for the sane countries), I would take the deal. Get our people home. Before we know it, we will arrive at the one-year anniversary of their brutal captivity. The responsibility of the Israeli government is their survival. If, after our hostages return home, Hamas continues to be belligerent, there is no reason we cannot conquer them again.

If we’re honest, there is no threat of another October 7. What happened last October was a result of the most significant intelligence failure in the history of Israel. Our government ignored the warnings. We could’ve easily stopped it before it ever happened. We got lazy. We won’t again.

While sometimes war is necessary, war is horrible. I’ve lived right next to it since October 7, listening to the bombs explode. Death and destruction are everywhere. The people of Israel are exhausted. And indeed, the people of Gaza want this to end. The two men in the government, Smotrich and Ben G’vir, who say that they will quit the government if we take the deal, ironically, did not serve in the army.

Roughly 120,000 Israelis marched last night, demanding that the government get our hostages home. That would be the equivalent of over 3 million Americans marching—something that has never happened. My heart breaks for the hostages and their families. Several of the female hostages are most likely pregnant with the babies of their terrorists. We have to get them home!

Prime Minister Netanyahu will have to choose between saving his government and saving the hostages. I was encouraged to read this morning that PM Netanyahu, though having issues with the deal, plans to accept it.

Let's be clear, there's no good deal. Hamas is evil. The students who support them have no idea who they are—they're simply ignorant, jumping on the cause de jour. But my humble opinion is that we must prioritize getting our hostages back. That is what makes us different than Hamas. We do not sacrifice our own people for political or religious goals.

And having said that, who am I to know the will of God? Will you join me and pray over Israel with the very prayer that Yeshua taught us: “Let your kingdom come, let your will be done (in Israel) on earth, as it is in heaven.”

Thank you for praying for Ron (not me!) who was shot by Hamas. He will survived!

Please pray for the son of our dear friends Elana and Dovi, who is fighting for his life tonight after being shot in the stomach by Hamas terrorists in Gaza. His name is Ron. He was wearing a bulletproof vest, but it either malfunctioned or the bullet went just below. He is presently in intensive care. Pray for his parents as well. Thank you.

Mordechai (Moti) was in for a big surprise when he was stopped by a security guard in Israel!

Apparently, people are watching Shelanu TV in Israel and hearing about Yeshua. One of our evangelists, Moti Cohen was confronted by a security guard. He told Moti that he knew him from somewhere. And then it hit him … “he was familiar to me from YouTube. He teaches about Jesus and the New Testam...

Father and Son confess to ra**ng Israelis on October 7th. In addition to eyewitnesses, we have mutilated bodies of victims, reports of Israeli hostages coming home pregnant, and now confessions from the perpetrators. I know this it's a difficult topic, but in light of all the Hamas apologists and Oct 7 deniers, we have to tell the truth about what happened to our women and girls that day.

My problem is that the young Catholic passed along antisemitic tropes and lies that could fuel more Jew hatred at a very sensitive time. But let...

INTIFADA at COLUMBIA
The small minority of students who have made life hell for the other 30,000 have now taken over a building and unfurled a massive banner with the word: INTIFADA. Why this is outrageous.

Intifada in Arabic means "uprising" or “shaking off.” This is the word that the Palestinian Liberation Organization used as a name for two deadly demonic assaults against Israelis. The First Intifada from 1987-1990 and the Second Intifada from 2000-05. The Intifiandas were characterized by a wave of su***de bombings that took place in buses, restaurants, and wedding halls, murdering and maiming thousands of Israelis.

The choice of this word is a call to violence against Jews, Israelis, and their supporters.

Most of these kids were not alive during the deadly su***de bombings in Israel. Most of them would be severely oppressed because of their lifestyle choices (pro-LGBTQ) if they actually lived in Gaza. They are supporting murderers and rapists. No university should want students who are, at best, ignorant of what they are supporting and, at worst, calling for the genocide of Israelis.
