Riad & Riad is having the pleasure being among the international consultancy team advising EgyptERA on this exciting project aiming at developing the private-to-private (P2P) participation in the electricity market.
EgyptERA has announced the opening of the public consultation phase inviting all stakeholders to study and comment on the draft P2P agreements and the Trade and Settlement Rules.
We urge and highly recommend all investors, electricity utility participants and experts to review the draft documents and provide their insights and comments and actively patriciate in the public consultation session to be held in this respect.

Riad & Riad is having the honor and pleasure to be part of this strategic project by advising the consortium of China Railway Engineering Corporation and AVIC International Holding Corporation (CREC-AVIC Consortium).

Throughout the last three years and going on, R&R team has been providing the Consortium with myriad of services in various legal areas including contracts, taxes, customs, labor and employment, social insurance and dispute resolution.

This first Light Railway Transit (LRT) in Egypt will connect the New Administrative Capital with various cities in Cairo, including Obour, Shorouk, Badr, Mostakbal, 10th of Ramadan, Al Salam cities with the capacity of transporting around 1 million passengers daily.

Companies' obligation to pay contributions - equivalent to 1% of the annual net profit - to the vocational training fund was long debated in Egypt. The Constitutional Court decided the validity of such obligation and hence Labor Offices received recent instructions to take measures to collect the outstanding contributions from companies with retroactive effect.
