Fantastic evening
I booked last minute (I had unexpected spare time in Delhi) . Glad that I did. Spent a fantatstic late afternoon/ early evening being escorted round the backstreets, well away from the general tourist areas, of Old Delhi.

Jaidev (my guide) was wonderful. He took time to fully explain the best camera settings and the art of framing the picture.

Next time I am in Delhi I will plan ahead and will be booking another session with Delhi Photo Tours

AWESOME Tour of Old and New Delhi!

I spend a total of 12 hours touring old and New Delhi with the Team from Delhi Photo Tours. The level of personalised service and the ability to see those special behind the scenes/atypical tourist locations made this tour totally unique. Not only were the locations great, but the guidance on framing and composition of my photographs was quite helpful. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND "Delhi Photo Tours"!!!

A GREAT EXPERIENCE

When I arrived in Delhi, I called Delhi Photo Tour about taking a tour of the market. My guide was an excellent photographer who gave me suggestions on how to improve my shots and knew the best locations (where the light was right for that time of day and where to find interesting subjects or views). My photos were outstanding! I enjoyed that tour so much that I took several others.

Excellent and highly personalized photo tour

I availed of this service because I had an 8-hour layover time between my arrival in Delhi by plane and my train ride to the central part of India. I paid for a group photography and food tour but, because of my weird schedule they opted to do a solo tour without asking me to pay extra. A big thanks to them for this. Jamwal, my tour guide as well as my photography instructor brought me to various interesting places and the entire tour is very productive despite the very limited time that I had. Camera settings, spots to get a good shot, proper positioning to get a better composition were all integrated in our tour.

I will definitely do this again when I return to India and perhaps opt for a longer time and do other photography tours beyond Delhi. I also availed their transport service (pick up from airport and transfer to the train station after). Looking back, this was a good decision because it saved me time from haggling with taxi drivers and took off the burden of carrying my huge bag while doing street photography (my luggage was kept in the private car at no extra cost). The cost is reasonable and definitely cheaper than the initial price of the fare that will be asked by taxi drivers for their service. In summary, this is a highly recommended tour. They are professional and offer more than what you paid for.

PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR REVIEW

In February 2019, we had a wonderful 4 hour tour of Old Delhi. Our guides, Jaidev J. and Ashwani were very helpful with the photography and took us to many interesting locations, including but not limited to, the Spice Market (Khari Baoli). Hope to return to Old Delhi!

Excellent street photography tour with great guide

There were four of us. We'd been to India a few times before (the first time before our guide had been born, but let's not worry about that) and wanted to do some street photography. Enter Raj and his assistant Ash. What a great day in the streets, lanes, tunnels, passageways and workshops of Old Delhi. Raj is both a knowledgeable guide and a good photography teacher: we ranged in photographic expertise from enthusiastic amateur to smartphone snapper and we all learned something.

Raj was great at pointing out subjects, advising on photography technique, smiling and chatting to the people in the street and persuading them to be very (in some cases extraordinarily) patient with us snapping away. He also kept us hydrated on a baking hot day with plenty of water, lassi and soft drinks. We had an excellent time and I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in the streets of Old Delhi. Thanks Raj and Ash.

superb photo tour

I had a customized photo tour with Ashwani .. every mean of communication with them from start ro finish was prompt and seamless... very proffessional.. and the guide Ashwani was an amazing guy.. very knowledgeable and know what i wanted to do ... overall i highly recommend this company.. will surely boom with them in the future

Great experience! Cool picture - Professional guiding - big fun!

I booked 3 days of phototour in Delhi (with Jaidev Jamwal) & Agra (with Ashwani), combining the major highlights of both cities. Both guides were very professional, good photographers and fun to travel with! I visited & photographed places I would otherwise not find myself. I also received very good advice on cool perspectives, things to photograph, as well as technical photography advice. Besides a nice travelling experience, I also learned a lot from it. Agra was fabulous, New Delhi a nice surprise (nice historical building!) and I also really liked the experience in Old Delhi. Getting around with Delhi Photo Tour was a great add-on to my trip, and I'll definitely make use of their services again when visiting India. Great thanks to Jaidev and Askwani for making my travels to India such a cool experience. Highly recommended for anyone interested in capturing moments and memories!

Great introduction to Old Delhi

This was a great introduction to Old Delhi. I was picked up promptly at the agreed time and then spent the next several hours exploring the narrow and fascinating streets with my guide, Ash. He was interesting and helpful, showed me so many photo opportunities I would never have discovered on my own. As an older woman travelling alone, I felt quite safe at all times. I would do this tour again if I am back in Delhi.

Delhi Photo and Food tour

This was a perfect tour to kick off my trip to India. Ashwani, my guide, was very knowledgeable of the culture, location, and of photography. Because I was the only client this particular date, we hit the ground running. We explored much of Old Delhi, ate delicious food, and took some amazing photos.

Ash knew the perfect places to shoot pictures while explaining the history and customs of the area. He also had a great eye for a good shot and helped me find shots in the genre that I shoot for. This Tour exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this tour and this guide!

Amazing Day
I had a day free before my flight out and got in touch with this company.
Everything was organised so well.
Communication was great and questions answered promptly via email.
As for the tour itself, it was excellent.
The guide Ali ( I think) was amazing. He was showed me the places of the beaten track in the old Dehli area. Introduced me to some amazing street food. And showed me some amazing places to take photos.
If I am in Dehli again I will definitely going you again..

Fantastic tour

I had one day in Delhi and am so glad I got in touch with this tour. They arrived promptly and took me to many places I would not have thought to go or known about to go on my own.
Highly recommended if you have a free day and want to make the most of it!

Old Delhi Photo Tour

REVIEW: A wonderful trip to photographer's paradise!

We arranged a tour of Old Delhi during a brief visit in February. Our guide was Ashcan (Ash) and he was simply excellent; knows the place like a local, really understands the technical details of photography, and great company too. Together we explore the densely packed streets and alleys of the old city, starting in the (relative) quiet of the early morning and enjoying the experience of the city coming to life for the umpteenth time. We avoided the obvious tourist attractions and dived instead into stores, workshops and tiny restaurants. A tremendous experience and I cannot recommend highly enough. For anyone interested in street photography, you simply have to do this; the only downside is that afterwards, New York, London and the rest will seem rather dull in comparison.

Bhogal Chole Bhature Waley was started in 1962 by Late Ram Bharose and has now become a popular food joint amongst the office goers of Connaught Place. The place is famous for its unique style of preparation of chickpeas. They serve the chickpeas(chhole) with koftas and sweet potato chutney. The koftas are made of sponge gourd and spinach. The shop also serves freshly made mango pickle, when they run out of sweet potato chutney or when it is offseason.

Brian and his wife contacted us for a multi-day itinerary covering Delhi and Agra. They spent three days with us sightseeing and taking pictures in Agra and different parts of New Delhi and Old Delhi.

This is a tour that you should NOT miss! My wife had business in Delhi for a few days, so I reached out to do some tours and photograph. I did my research, and found this tour. I can not tell you how good it was to wander, photograph, and learn about Delhi. Jaidev was an amazing guide who offered help, support, direction and experience. He is well learned, and quite informative. His information about the city was excellent, and we had some good conversations! I had such a great time, I scheduled another tour with him the next day! Do NOT miss this opportunity if you are in Delhi by yourself, or with others. I am very grateful to have been able to experience the city as Jai shared. Thank You!
