Walking Winos Walking Winos are a very friendly bunch of hikers that love wine...or is it winos that love to hike? Our common bond is wine, food and the outdoors.

Founded by Debbie Taylor who is an avid bird watcher, plant lover, hiker, nature guide and world traveler. As a volunteer docent at the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve she has guided group hikes for over 20 years. She joined a hiking "meetup" group in Temecula, CA and led them on hikes at the Plateau followed by a tailgate picnic. Well the picnic became a regular thing. Then they went with a

nother guide into the vineyards and wine tasting - this was a real hit. So Debbie began creating walks in the wine country. When someone called her a hiking wino she changed that to "Walking Wino" and now her group has over 1000 members.

I worked with the Pawn Stars for a while in 2010 - 2015. They went on tour to casinos all over the US for a show similar to Antiques Roadshow.

Congrats to Ana, winner of the The

Supermoon Beach Walk and Happy Hour with the Walking Winos of Baja!
Join us on the beach at Baja Cove for a 5pm beach walk. Stay for the sunset happy hour at 6pm (or just come for happy hour).
Bring a chair, a drink, and an appetizer to share (cheese ,crackers, fruit, etc.) Bring a warm layer of clothes or a blanket.
You can park at La Marina and walk to the beach from there. Or drive in to Baja Cove and Park. We have someone to help set up while we walk.
We should see the moon rising before dark.
On May 26, 2021, the full moon will sweep through the Earth’s dark umbral shadow, creating a total eclipse of the moon. This May full moon is 2021’s closest (and therefore biggest and brightest) full moon of the year: a supermoon. This particular eclipse is special because the totality, or total phase, is so short-lived, lasting less than 15 minutes.
On Wednesday morning at 4:15am check out the lunar eclipse. But Wednesday evening the moon will be big and bright!
