What an incredible time spent Mogogelo camp, elephants just kept coming and going for hours. You don’t even need to leave the comfort of the camp to see the game. Sit back, relax and watch from either your own tents veranda or the main area.

There is often so much focus in the bigger mammals whilst on safari that the smaller ones get missed. When on your next safari don’t miss the small ones, there is so much enjoyment from watching and experiencing everything the African bush has to offer.

Yesterday marked the first day of Spring in Southern Africa and the bushveld is beginning to change and little bursts of colour are popping up all over the place.
These are the flowers from a Albizia anthelmintica commonly known as a Worm-bark false thorn tree.

If you are in search of things that get your adrenaline pumping then Southern Africa has lots of different options.
Our Director, Tara, recently visited Cape Town on a business trip but made sure she got her adrenaline fix on the SKY HI Ride at Hotel Sky! The thrill of adrenaline whilst taking in some of the best views of Cape Town, Table Mountain and Robben Island.
Let us know what type of adrenaline levels you like and we can help you incorporate this into your next adventure.

If you are looking for an adventure then self driving through Botswana will definitely tick those boxes.

Isn’t this just the cutest thing you have ever seen?!?
Reality is this innocent baby is estimated to be about 12hours old when found traumatized next to it’s lifeless mother, after she was brutally killed. Why? For her horn, for the greed of human kind.
Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary are an organisation so close to our heart, doing the most incredible work for these babies, but they are not the only ones, there are many organisations doing the same. Care for Wild alone have received FOUR orphans in a matter of days.
An estimated 24 rhinos poached in South Africa just this last week, 7 of them in the Greater Kruger private reserves, some in Kruger National Park and the massacre at Inverdoorn in the Western Cape. These are the ones that have been found, who knows how many more have gone undetected. How many traumatized calfs have died next to their mothers as they just have not been found.
To every single man and woman out there that are fighting for our wildlife, I thank you. I thank you for your hours, the sleepless nights and long days, the blood, sweat and the many tears you have shed. Your work is not going unnoticed or unappreciated although you may feel like you are fighting a losing battle, please don’t doubt the value of the work you ate doing.

There is no quick solution to this, but we have to come together as a human race to put an end to it.
As we go into this festive season, the season of giving, if are able to donate to any of the organisations that will be working around the clock throughout this period, fighting for our wildlife, please do. The work they do does not come cheap and the rely on donations. Exchange expensive gifts for donations.

About Us

Africa is very special. Every destination is very different, offering huge diversity of landscapes, wildlife and culture. Just as each person is unique, so should their holiday. We will tailor-make your holiday, ensuring that you get to experience what is on your wish list, and not a package tour that was created for somebody else.

At Eight Points Africa we offer a professional and personal service. We are more than just a travel agent. We are a small customer focused organisation. You will deal with the same person throughout the planning and the finalisation of your trip. We will be available to you throughout the process and long after you have returned home again. We will ensure that you are at ease and comfortable throughout the whole process.
