Mornings at Raffles Bali 😌🧘‍♀️

I started with a gentle wake up & the delivery of a refreshing ginger-honey elixir before I went out to do Aqua Yoga at their infinity pool that also overlooks the ocean. It was as tranquil as it was nourishing.

I thought about the life I used to live as a prosecutor - the days were long and heavy as I dealt with the worst criminals - and how I walked away to ease my spirit and explore other worlds to share them with my friends & family.

Now I want to share with you. 🤩

A peek at my five-course dinner at that was really a journey from beginning to end.

First a gentle hand cleansing followed by an overview of the menu that boasts 80% locally sourced ingredients. The remaining 20% is only while they figure out how to grow their own food. Everything was divine and so fresh!

Three days, 33 meetings, four workshops, three classes, invaluable meetings and connections with leaders in the hospitality industry.

Im so passionate about wellness and as a travel advisor I’ve learned that some of the best places to visit to enhance your health and wellbeing are actually *outside* the United States!

The Kempinski Bali Hotel was so amazing - easily one of my favorite hotel rooms ever, with that view and private pool on the terrace, a steam shower, bathroom with bidet, and a bunch of complimentary goodies.

The 40 hour journey was challenging but totally worth it to arrive at this hotel.

Expectations vs Reality…

I had the craziest travel day like you would NOT BELIEVE.

Cancelled flights, hours and hours of delay, phone call hang ups, crazy reroutes around the world and thousands of points later, I’m finally back on track with my trip to Bali and somehow the universe conspired to give me a couple hours with my bestie in-between all of that.

One hug from someone you love and who really loves you back truly makes all the craziness life throws at you a little less intense…. Thank you, Dawn! 🥹💖

Okay NOW I’m off to Bali! ✈️ 🌍

This train ride through Switzerland was simply too blissful for words.

When I was a prosecutor, I used to save all my money to take trips like this for my two allotted weeks of vacation.

Now I travel for a living! ⚡️

Back home after a packed week in Punta Cana at the Lopesan Costa Bavaro resort, where you can choose your own adventure!

Between the casino, escape room, axe throwing, bowling alley, karaoke, shopping, water park and wine cellar, there’s endless entertainment for the whole family.

As I’m now in my Wellness Era, I leaned more towards the spa experience with hydrotherapy & 24 hour room service. My welcome gift included a golden sculpture made of pure chocolate with bottles of their national rum. 🍹

I’m at & enjoyed lobster for dinner by the pool.

Although it’s usually an extra charge anywhere else, the lobster is included at this all-inclusive resort. 🦞

Located in Castrocaro, Italy, this is a beautiful property with natural thermal healing pools, a full laboratory where they make their own beauty products and a spa with various saunas, baths and other treatments.

With five star accommodations and a team of specialists on staff, this was a unique wellness experience that I highly recommend.

My visit to Iceland two years ago was an amazing way to beat the summer Texas heat. 🥵

The best part was walking between two giant rock faces that were two tectonic plates - Eurasia and North America. There is a small river that runs through them where I went snorkeling! It was the cherry on top after my cruise with Atlas Ocean Voyages 🤿 🌊

Thanks to Katherine Gallagher - Traveling Creative + Luxury Travel Designer for planning our Sunday Funday in Venice this summer!

🌟 Fun fact: Towards the end you’ll notice where you can see water on the ground in the plaza at night. That’s just proof that Venice is still sinking and why everyone should go now while you still can!

We walked around and when we came back through the plaza we noticed 3 inches of water in the middle. The locals revealed it had not rained, it’s just sinking!! 😳

Why you need Clear!

6:15am. No joke on arriving three hours before departure- unless you have CLEAR. if you don’t, get it! My video speaks for itself. Pro tip#1- print your boarding pass. I’m all about saving trees, but I watched several people have difficulty using the mobile app causing delays and frustration. Pro tip#2- if departing from Austin, you can go to arrivals and be dropped off. MUCH faster. Also, a new checkpoint has been asded between #1 and #2. There is now a #2 east to try and keep things moving. Pack your patience! Happy holidays and safe travels!

Pro tip #1- get to the airport EARLY. I’ve never see the airport this crowded. Pack patience! And gratitude- you are going somewhere that isn’t your house. Pro tip #2. Get CLEAR. I was through security in under 3 minutes. Best $50/year you can spend.
