✨Okay, so the TV isn’t the main reason you booked your Disney vacation, but it’s got some pretty cool features you’ll appreciate. For starters, that “Welcome Home” screen when you first step foot into your room is the perfect way to get into vacation mode. Did you know in addition to featuring the current weather and park hours, it comes with a lot of free Disney programming? From classic animated movies, Disney+ series and even Happily Ever After fireworks, there’s always something fun to watch for a quick break or a family movie night before bed. Plus, at select resorts, you can even stream your own shows on smart TVs so you won’t have to avoid social media for fear of spoiling your latest show obsession.✨

✨Not the camping type? Trust me, this is NOT ROUGHING IT. Have you taken a look at the new cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground yet? Scroll through these pics! You may decide you are a camper after all. There is room for 6, a full kitchen with all the gadgets you need, bunk beds and two separate
bathroom sinks. All this tucked away in the cozy Wilderness woods just a boat ride away from Magic Kingdom.✨

✨Time for some real talk...It’s not unheard of to walk 10+ miles per day around the Disney parks, so you want to have some training and strategies under your belt so your legs and feet don’t fail you. 👟
After many visits, here’s my advice: Break in new shoes: Please, oh please, don’t try out new shoes on a Disney trip. You want some time to walk around the neighborhood before the start of your park days. Chances are those super cute shoes are actually the worst park shoe ever. Bring those ugly worn in ones just in case! Choose shoes with great support: It’s not just the miles you walk; it’s also the standing in one place for long periods of time. You want cushion and support that will keep your feet and back from aching. Take breaks when you can: Watch some shows, go on longer attractions, or enjoy a table-service meal to give you
a chance to take a load off (and usually get some A/C too!).✨

✨If vacation means indulging in sinfully delish fast food, have you ever thought about a Disney Cruise? Absolutely, Disney Cruise Line is all about value, relaxation and fun, but it’s also about the FOOOOOD and most of it is included in the cruise fare. Feel like some pizza at 11, no problem. Got a hankering for a burger to hold you over until dinner, it’s yours. Don’t feel like sitting in a dining room, grab a quick bite and eat on the deck. It’s not just burgers and fries either! Each ship has its own unique offerings (BBQ, salads, wraps) but the variety is there across the fleet. Splurge until your heart’s and belly’s content without a surprise credit card bill when you get home. ✨

✨💭💤Let’s daydream for a quick sec...The air is filled with the combined aroma of fresh popcorn 🍿and peppermint, holiday music 🎶 is playing as you make your way through the parks surrounded by twinkling lights, festive decor, and of course ALL the seasonal snacks! Boy, does that iconic Disneyland charm hit just a bit different (in the best way) from Walt Disney World at the holidays. There’s just something about Christmastime that makes our hearts ache a little for the past, and Disneyland somehow (magically) exudes an air of nostalgia while simultaneously feeling brand new!✨

✨🥒🎄Pickles aren’t just for sandwiches; they’re a Christmas tradition too! In Germany, families hide a pickle ornament on their Christmas tree. The first person to find it on Christmas morning gets an extra present from Old Saint Nick. What a fun way to get everyone to take a good look at all of the ornaments on the tree while adding a little extra pixie dust to the holiday festivities!🥒✨

The real magic is the unexpected entertainment that’ll make you fall in love with this park before you even realize it’s happening. From Winged Encounters where macaws soar above you, to the mesmerizing DiVine, a living, breathing vine-these are just a couple of the surprises that make Animal Kingdom unforgettable. The thrilling attractions are a bonus for sure. ✨

✨Heroes Work Here! This Veterans Day, let’s take a moment to honor the incredible contributions of our US military service members—and shine a light on Disney’s Heroes Work Here program. Since 2012, Disney has hired thousands of veterans, offering jobs, support and the resources needed to help them successfully transition into civilian careers. Keep your eye out for markers like this one in EPCOT. As a true patriot, no doubt Walt Disney would be proud of the way his company is thanking our veterans for their service!✨

At Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, children can write and mail letters to Santa Claus! Everything needed - paper, crayons and a mailbox - is provided. This is one of those touches that just makes a person fall in love with the Disney magic!✨

✨Decisions, decisions...can’t decide which character meal to book? The struggle is real! There are so many options, and honestly, it’s hard to know which one’s THE ONE. BUT...if you’re looking for something fun, delicious, and maybe a little less chaotic than some of the bigger character meals, let me just throw Chip and Dale’s Harvest Feast at Garden Grill into the ring. Hosted by Chip, Dale, Mickey and Pluto, this restaurant slowly rotates offering views of the Living with the Land attraction!
The food is farm-fresh (literally, many of the veggies are grown right there in EPCOT’s Living with the Land!), and it’s all served family-style—so no buffet trips while juggling kids and characters. Plus, it’s quieter, more laid-back, and the
characters tend to spend a little extra time at your table. ✨
