Furlough Fun!

We are missionaries who happened to be on home assignment (called “furlough”) in 2017. While dropping off our youngest son to start his college career at Taylor University (like his older brother and sister and their spouses), we saw this darling home for sale. Given my penchant for home improvement projects and interest in real estate, Tom and I decided that this would be a great way to get into the rental business. One thing lead to another, and we decided that, since Taylor has limited short term rental options super close to campus, we would help fill that need by making this a vacation rental (think “Airbnb” or VRBO). And so here we have Rejoyce House! We now have a solid 2 years behind us and have earned “Superhost” status on Airbnb. But more importantly, we get rave reviews from visitors about how perfect our home is for their visits.
