Those looking for something to add to their Kolkata itenary ...I highly recommend taking a walk with the historians who know the ins and out of the heritage, architecture, culture and truth of Kolkata and who deeply love the city. They surely know how to make you fall in love with Kolkata.

After having watched Praktan - an Indian Bengali Movie where Prosenjit Chatterjee played a tour guide who took tourists for a walk around North Kolkata to show the real Kolkata I got curious and searched whether such walks truly existed. AND IT TRANSPIRED IT DID! So I searched and came across 3 of such companies. I took the Confluence of Cultures / Melting Pot Walk and I absolutely loved how it showed me the origins and remains of the varied communities that hung their boots and called Kolkata their home.

I had taken my walk with Walks and it was an absolute unforgettable experience.
