The 🌓 dragon combination is a unique symbol that embodies the relationship between nature and the sub-conscious

The moon, which influences ocean tides, represents ebb and flow, and the dragon symbolizes primal forces of nature

The pearl is often depicted with Chinese dragons and thought to represent the moon.

One legend has it that some dragons have become infatuated with the moon, and have gone insane trying to steal it from the sky.

Other tales depict the pearl as an egg placed beneath the dragon’s neck or chin. The dragon is said to carry the egg away until it is ready to hatch.

By far the most agreed upon tale is that the pearl represents the dragon’s wisdom – hence the term: “pearls of wisdom.”

WHAT YOU THINK YOU KNOW ABOUT CATS

Cats are loved, revered and even feared throughout history by many different cultures

The Oglala, an ancient Native American tribe, would not have anything to do with any felines as they believed that cats had powerful magic and the ability to curse people

The Egyptians has a differing opinion. They worshipped them. They had multiple cat goddesses, including Bast, Sekmet (goddess with the head of a lioness), and Mafdet (goddess having come before Bast, who represented feral Egyptian cats)

Each of these gods is female, which supports the association many have between cats and women

For me personally, they have always been a sign of protection and friendship; challenging friendship. They are not always around but always there when I need them.

The only way to beat the IMs in impossible is to break your goal up into tiny pieces and start somewhere. Doesn’t matter how small the action - CONSISTENCY creates its own magic

Keep putting one foot in front of the other

Sitting on top of a rock after pushing through the impossible
India, they told us it was 4 kilometres up and 4 kilometres down

It turned out to be 8kilometres up and 8 down. Went unprepared but with the help of these 2 lovely ladies - both inspiring angels, we climbed, walked, crawled up and ended up looking like cherry tomatoes and a dark chocolate bar

How’s that for dessert? .

Have you ever been stuck in a situation which seems impossible when suddenly, a solution slaps you in the face?

Flying fish don’t exactly fly, they glide across water and sometimes slap you in the face

This art piece gladly did no slapping or spanking

Indian pizza?

You read that right!
Possibly the best pizza I’ve had in my life. LOADED with freshly caught fruitti di mare (fruits of the sea). Juicy shrimp, tender fish and succulent calamari on wood fired crust.
EVERY BITE WAS CRISPY.
Tanto’s in Auroville. An experience I won’t ever forget.

Why you should be drinking Aero press Or Chemex coffees

1. TASTE - Aeropress provides you with a heavy dark chocolate rich finish

Chemex was light, fresh, vibrant and fruity. Very titillating on the tongue, I’m still vibrating .. the tongue that is 🤭

Great experiences start with opening new doors

Drinking coffee in Chennai at the Brew Room - probably best coffee in India (so far)

Did I mention the fried mozzarella sticks with garlic 🤪

What makes good ice cream?

Never thought I would say this but I found possibly the best ice cream in the world in Surat, Gujarat.

THE CREAMERY

Simple flavours, HAND MADE using only NATURAL FRESH INGREDIENTS. Coconut, Belgian chocolate, salted caramel, date and walnut were not just incredible but stunning. Sticky consistency with clean flavors. Sweet was never too sweet and fresh fruits were simply refreshing.

The consistency on the Belgian chocolate and coconut was seductively stretchable. I had to CHEW, repeatedly, on this juicy ice cream.

Thoroughly impressed. These guys give the Italians a run for their money... and I say this with all due respect.

Feeling humbled and happy.

Do you know manchurians?

Not unless you’ve been to an Indian Chinese restaurant. These bad boys are absolutely delicious AND.. VEGETARIAN (for the most part)

Traditionally made of cabbage and sometimes mixed vegetables including cauliflower. Think of a slightly crispy vegetable meatball tossed with tomato, onion and savoury Chinese spices; chewy skin with a cabbage crunch in the middle.

Can’t quite get enough of them.

Go China in Surat, Gujarat, thank you for the wonderful introduction!

Block printing; Can you do this?

Traditional Rajasthani style of printing all done by hand. You take big blocks, hand carve a design, dip it in dyes made (mostly) of natural vegetable colours and start printing.

Make sure to aim and get the colours right. Or else it is repeat repeat And back to the start.

Come to Jaipur to experience this timeless art. Real artisans, all handwork; this is what we call bespoke

Hungry yet?

I couldn’t resist it when he said he had a chilli naan.

What is that? Pure love in a crunchy bite.

Match that with a delectable thali (the giant silver plate) filled with papad (fried lentil chips) raita (yoghurt with vegetables) Dahl (curried lentils) basmati rice (wholesome Long grained and tasty rice) with extra extra extra..

Had to do a portion of Chicken tikka masala - couldn’t resist.

Happy days in the peacock above the Pearl Palace Hotel.

I know I shouldn’t when in India.. but the burger next to me looked really good... 🤭

Did I mention that they had GOOD, not just decent, coffee here?

How about Honey chilli potatoes?

First time coming across this. It’s a Jaipur speciality. Prepare to fall in love.

Crispy potatoes tossed in a sauce made of sesame oil, dried chillis, spring onions, honey, garlic and secret spices.

So good, I ate it at every meal.

Award goes to the Peacock Hotel who did the best version, out of the 4 different ones I had in 2 days.

By the way, also the BEST room in Jaipur for the price we paid 🙏🏾
