😜Wacky Wednesday! Guess what?! Yes, there’s a Hammer Museum! 🔨

The Hammer Museum located in the small town of Haines, Alaska. The hammer is the world’s first tool. Did you know that?

There are approximately 2,000 hammers on display at the museum at any given time, and over 7,000 items in the collection. They rotate the collection throughout the year to provide an ever-changing experience.

🫣Wisdom or Wacky! 🤪 I’m embarrassed to admit this but I totally forgot a swimsuit on my trip to Montenegro and Croatia. Duh?! 🙄 Yes I did swim in the ocean!

We adapt. I wore my leggings and a sports bra and jumped in the Adriatic Ocean!

🎉 It’s Alaska Day, celebrated on October 18th every year commemorating the anniversary of the formal transfer of the territory of Alaska from Russia to the United States in 1867.

It all took place in Sitka, Alaska, where the Russian flag was lowered and the American flag was raised, symbolizing the purchase of Alaska from Russia for $7.2 million (about 2 cents an acre). What a great deal! 🎉

😋Foodie Friday!! Yum Yum! * Food is a very important part of traveling! Don’t you agree? * Montenegrin food is a fusion of Eastern, Western, and Mediterranean influences, and includes a variety of dishes. Lots of meats, dairy, seafood (on the coast) and wine 🍷 of course! * A traditional dish is called “Kačamak”which is a very hearty porridge made from cornmeal, potatoes, kajmak cream cheese, and topped with sour milk or yogurt.
