My last intermediate race at Saddleback California. I had just turned 13 and pointed out. I had to start racing local pro for the next couple years before I turned 16 and got a national PRO license.

1981 was my first national moto win at in my rookie year. In 1986 I won the last Carlsbad USGP. I am very proud of both races. Both photos are at Devils drop right before the finish line.

has been many people in my life. 1980: I saw this super stylish kid on a bultaco from back east called the little professor and was impressed with his technique. 1981-82: we became friends and would laugh at each other stories before the race just like you see in this photo. 1983: we tried to kill each other when I was on Yamaha and he was on honda. We both had really good takeouts on each other. 1985: we were friends again because he was on 500 and I was on 250. 1986: he was Muhammad Ali and I was Joe Frazier. We had unbelievable battles and went back-and-forth all year long. 1987-2000: I watched David fight his way back to being a champion. This time it was the Hawaii Iron Man. In 1988 we watched the race together.. I am still amazed that he not only competed in the event, but also won it. 🏁🥇🙌2024: we are friends and he is 100% a legend in my mind.🙏❤️🤙

I was always honored to be invited to race MXDN. What I love the most about it was that I got to race with my fiercest competitors and not against them. I truly enjoyed working together as a team to help , , , , and Bob Hannah win for 🇺🇸 . Go get em team America 🏁🏆🙏🇺🇸

Date night with at Bloomingdale’s in San Diego. Awesome event by Fernanda Vildósola for kids in Mexico with cancer. One chemo treatment cost $300 so a lot of money was raised for a great cause. 🙏
