A Majestic Moment in Ivindo National Park 🌿🐘

Captured by one of our incredible collaborators near the breathtaking Kongou Falls, this stunning shot from October shows a forest elephant making its way to the Ivindo River for a refreshing drink. The Ivindo is one of the strongest-flowing rivers in the world, its power rivaled only by its beauty.

Moments like these remind us of the incredible wildlife and untamed landscapes that still thrive in the heart of Africa. 🌍💚

Wow, just WOW! 😱

Check out this incredible shot shared by our amazing client, Jean-Claude Rouquette! A Sitatunga female in full sprint, towards none other than a mighty silverback western lowland gorilla at Langoué Bai, Ivindo National Park, Gabon! 🦍💨

Can you even imagine the adrenaline of witnessing such a jaw-dropping moment in the wild? 😲 This is the kind of raw, heart-pounding wildlife action that dreams are made of. What an unforgettable experience it must have been! 🌿🌍

Follow me, if you dare 😄 Loango’s swamps aka bais are quite the challenge in the dry season. Kamaya takes it in his stride and from this photo you would think it is easy to follow him. Once you are knee deep in water and mud, you realise how much of a wild adventure you are on!
Thank you so much to izelle_wonderlust for sharing this photo from your recent trip with us.

Dry Season in Loango N.P. Is approaching.
A time for boat safaris along the dark rivers, rich brown in colour from the tannins the rainforest and soil deposit continuously. There are many manatees hidden within the water!

Forest Elephant in Akaka, Loango National Park's interior "jungle area", where there are bais as well as dense tropical primary forests and amazing boat safaris.
This elephant seems to have found a particularly muddy exit point!

Leatherback turtle returning to the ocean after depositing her eggs.

This is a photo from January 2023. She should return in 2024 🤞

The absolute best place to respectfully observe these beautiful mothers is in Pongara National Park - only one hour from Libreville by boat.

Reopen for tourism from June! Chimpanzee Trekking!

We highly recommend our unique destinations for chimpanzee treks. Far from the usual tourist crowds, with small groups sizes and world reputed guides who have the utmost respect for these highly animated apes.

Beautiful Female Sitatunga in Loango National Park.

Elephants, buffalo, and red river hogs are regularly spotted in the savannas (beaches too) during the rainy season months.
But with a little luck, good timing and talented guiding there is way more wildlife to be found venturing out from the forests.
