The Sponti Gnome
It was in 2006 that Ottmar Hörl time channel has finalized the current design of the Sponti gnome.
"Unlike all other garden gnomes, the time channel gnomes are distinguished by their reduction to the essential. Characteristic elements such as the beard, jacket, pants and shoes are deliberately rendered in a clear shape. This gives the figures a new look. This is both timeless and universal at the same time. In fact, the time channel gnomes are the formal essence of the gnome of the garden itself. A difference becomes apparent when comparing the gnomes (Sponti) created in 1994 with those of 2006. By developing its own models for the Gnomes, Ottmar time channel was able to capture the essence of the gnome of the garden as an iconic archetype of cultural history. So it is not surprising that the characters have reached cult status.
