Strathspey and Seafield Estates are currently using horses to carry out some logging work in and around the old Dell tree nursery, at the top of Dell Road. The public are invited to watch them at work on Saturday, August 17, from 10 am to 2 pm. Please note there is no car parking on site.

❗️ Reminder and advance warning: Ryvoan Bothy will be closed to the public from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 May 2024. This is so the Mountain Bothies Association can run the second work party to rebuild the porch and prepare the roof for new roof sheets 🛠🪚
The external signage and all railway associations (eg the handle to the porch) will be preserved 😊
Special thanks to the volunteers who are working on this project and giving up their weekend to help conserve this much-valued bothy 🫶

Scotland. Meet at 2pm outside Nethy Bridge Community Centre.
Friday, July 19 - "Cairngorm: The Story of a Mountain", by Jane
Macaulay.
Friday, August 23 - Old Nethy Bridge. Sandy McCook introduces some of his late father's photographs.
Friday, September 20 - Ross Watson on his travels in Cambodia and the Balkan States with a Churchill Fellowship.
All talks at 7.30pm in the Explore Abernethy Visitor Centre. Donations (£5 suggested) to help look after the paths network and the Visitor Centre.
A History Walk and a Bat Walk are also planned for September.E

Trails will be open as usual and the cafe will be open from 10am-4pm this Saturday and Sunday! All in preparation for our big opening next Friday (29th of March) with trails, cafe and bike hire!

We are pleased to announce that both waymarked trails at FLS Uath Lochans are now open again, following windblow clearance! 🥳

Also, timber harvesting is complete in the Sluggan area of Glenmore (behind Badaguish), and all routes here, including the Craiggowrie hill path, have now reopened to the public too. Timber haulage is still ongoing in the area so please be mindful of large vehicles and do not climb on log stacks.
