Day 4: Animal Kingdom —

We woke up very early for this day! We were leaving and heading home after we visited the park so when we woke up we had to pack and take all of our things. Animal Kingdom opened up at 8am and I knew we needed to get there at least 30 minutes early because of the long wait for Flight of Passage in Pandora. We were parked and walking to the front entrance by 7:25 and when we got there, they had already opened the gates everyone was in!!! I know Disney opens their parks a little early most of the time but I did not think by 7:25 there would already be people walking around in AK. It was okay though because we went straight to FOP and got in line. OMG, you guys, Pandora World and even the queue line for FOP is unbelievable. We walked through the line quickly and only waited about 40 min (when 8am came I got on the app to see the wait time and it said 90 min) but the time we got in line was before they were telling you how long the wait was, so we had no idea! Okay— FOP was AMAZING. Our absolute favorite ride of the whole trip. I did not want any spoilers for this ride, so all these years I haven’t looked anything up other than knowing it’s a favorite of everyone’s. I had no idea what to expect and that honestly made it even better I think. I hate it’s taken me so long to finally ride it. Na’vi River was also so good, the vibrant colors and animatronics were so cool! I cannot wait to go back to AK and experience Pandora World at night. After we rode those two rides, we went to ride Expedition Everest which said a 10 minute wait but that is because that’s how long it took for us to just walk through the queue line, because we power walked through all of it and right onto the ride! We did skip the Safari this time because when we got over there it was a 65 minute wait and it was already 11am and we had a 5 hour drive back home. So we chose to get a snack and mosey around for an hour experiencing different things. I truly haven’t spent that much time in AK since I was 12 (really don’t know why) but I have been missing out since! Can’t wait to go back and spend an entire day there for our next trip.

Day 3: Magic Kingdom —

Park opened at 9am and we were on the monorail by 8:50 heading to Magic Kingdom. The plan was to head straight to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, but by the time we actually got into the park and took some pictures in front of the castle it was already at an 85 min wait. I normally never start with the pirates side and splash because it’s a wet ride, but this time we did 🙃. It was a 10 minute wait so we were on and off very quickly and splash was only 35 minutes which was exact time however when we got off it was a 65 minute wait. So glad we got on at the right time! We made a complete circle so we started at pirates and ended with space mountain. We rode every single ride that we wanted to (11 for the day!!!) in 7 hours! Our longest wait was 60 minutes for seven dwarfs and Peter Pan and our shortest was we walked onto space mountain 😍 mine and Eric’s favorite in MK! We ate lunch at Pinocchio Village — they have the best meat lovers flatbread pizza by the way. We originally had dinner plans at Liberty Tavern but I’m so glad I cancelled it the day before because we were too full to eat a heavy meal like that when the reservation was scheduled for. We relaxed for over an hour on the hub and watched the sun set on the castle. That was honestly my favorite moment of the trip! We popped in The Plaza to eat dinner and watched the castle light up for the night. I only got a side of fries but eric got a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and was very impressed! The view was what did it for me 🤩 After dinner, we went back to the castle to get a few more photos and we moseyed our way back to the monorail to get to the car! We were absolutely worn out - and it’s funny because when I went as a child we would be in the park for 12 hours at a time and I would be just as energetic at 10pm as I was at 8am! Not a fan of getting older.

Day 2: Hollywood Studios—

We woke up at 6:50am and got onto the My Disney Experience App to get in the virtual queue for Rise of the Resistance. We got boarding group 17!! I have great tips to get a group but it’s not always possible. We ordered breakfast through the app and Eric went down to pick it up. We ate in the room while getting ready and headed out the door to the skyliner around 8:15 (park opened at 9). We really were thinking this would be plenty of time but it clearly was not. We got to the line and it was a 25 min wait to get on. We waited probably 10 min and the line never moved for some reason and we still had to get on a connector skyliner at Caribbean beach. the Cast Member said it was a 40 min wait there to get on and head to HS so to the car we ran! We drove to HS (you can park for free if you are a resort guest you just tell them and they verify with your magic band). We were in the park by 9:05 and our boarding group was being called in 40 minutes so we went straight to Rise and rode it first. It was soooo good. Mobile food ordering was not a problem for us. While we were in like for TOT I got on the app and chose a quick service restaurant, pickup time, and placed the order for what we wanted. Right as we were getting on the ride I got on the app and clicked that we were there to pick up the food. After getting to the restaurant we still had to wait another 10 minutes before we could get the food but had I not gone ahead and told them to prepare our order it would have been longer. 10 minutes was a short wait for the day 😉 so it was fine. We rode everything in the park by 4:30pm. The only ride we didn’t do was star tours and it’s not my favorite so I was fine skipping it. Mickey and Minnies Runaway Railway was ADORABLE and Slinky Dog in Toy Story land was our favorite which we happened to end the day on so it was great!!!☺️ and for those wondering, I crushed Eric in Toy Story Mania- he claims it’s because I had an advantage from playing it before but if you’ve ever played the game, you know that does not matter 😂. Our longest wait was 70 minutes for tower of terror and *bonus* it was our longest wait all trip! Disney pre-covid, you could expect your average wait time to be over an hour with some rides being 2.5 hour waits. For the most part we felt like the wait times for the rides in this park were very actuate. If anything, it may have been 5-8 minutes shorter or longer. HS is definitely the most crowded park right now & most thought it was pre-Covid as well. You can expect this because of the Star Wars & toy story lands plus the newest ride, Mickey and Minnie runaway railway. We left the park and drove back to the hotel and got on the skyliner just to ride it because it was our only chance of the week to do so. There was no line and it moved pretty quick!! I wish we could’ve taken it to the park but we would have been late or missed our ROTR group.

We had reservations at Topolinos Terrace at Riviera Resort at 7:45pm which was very good!!! Eric got the steak and i got the herb fettuccine. We walked around the resort some and went to check out the tile artwork near the skyliner at this resort. OMG it was so beautiful. The artwork is over 1 million hand laid tiles to create the pictures of Tangled and Peter Pan. The photos seriously do not do it justice.

Eric and I went to WDW Feb 22-25. Im finally getting around to updating you all on how our trip went!

Day 1: Arrival day—

Checked into the hotel (we stayed at Pop Century), changed clothes and headed out the door! We chose to drive our car to Disney Springs but there are buses that can take you there.
Disney Springs- spent the night shopping and eating! We got down there around 5pm and it was practically empty but most parks were still open until 7pm and I’m fairly sure that’s why because at 7:30 it started getting more crowded. However it was so nice to walk around the area and not be shoulder to shoulder with someone else. We ate at a restaurant called The Edison. The spinach cheese dip appetizer was so so good. We split a burger and fries because neither of us were very hungry. We walked around afterwards to do some shopping 🛍 The world of Disney store never ceases to amaze me- they have soooo much stuff haha. It’s hard to go in there and not get anything! Somehow we walked out of there with only 2 tshirts and 1 ballcap. We left Disney springs around 8:30 and went back to the hotel to get some rest for our first park day!!
*I didn’t take many pictures this day
