We decided to park our car today (long story) and we were given..... GUEST OF THE DAY! AMAZING 🎉🎉🎉Talk about PIXIE DUST! Cast member Tim waived our parking fee and escorted us to THE FIRST SPOT in the garage! What a great start 🎉🎉🎉

🎉 🎊 SUPER NINTENDO WORLD

We are here at Super Nintendo World on a VIP tour to show you what amazing activities the new addition has to offer at Universal Hollywood!

As we walk up to the entrance, we quickly realize this is going to be an incredibly immersive experience, and boy were we rewarded! You enter through a green pipe famous from Super Mario and come out the other end in a world of Color! Vibrant (and rainy 🌧️🙄) you are surrounded by your childhood (for those 80's babies like me)

*Power Up Bands*
In order to fully experience super Nintendo World, you will need a Power Up Band ($40). This band allows you to receive "credit" from your experiences inside Super Nintendo World and link them to your Nintendo Switch to receive real life rewards! *Pro Tip: purchase your band at the beginning of your day at the Universal Store located near the entrance and link it to your app immediately!

*Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge*
The sole attraction here is a big win! Fun and interactive. You are challenged by Bowser to a race. You queue up in Bowser's castle which has a a amazing theme and is IG heaven. You are given a fancy 3d Mario hat! But wait... It's just a heavy weird headband.... What's going on?!?! 🤔🤷 Don't fret! Once you hop into your cart, you attach a VR screen from your Kart onto your headset! It will give you a clear VR screen that adds game play onto your ride! Don't forget to tap your Power Up Band to your steering wheel to track your performance and challenge others. From here, off you go! You zip, zig and zag through a race as you steer and use triggers to shoot down Bowser and his despicable allies. Don't forget, if you grew up playing Mario Kart and your kids beat you, you will forever be on THP's wall of shame!

*Bowser Jr's Challenge*
Bowser Jr has a secret interactive game for you to attend.... BUT FIRST... You must earn entry! Around Super Nintendo World are little interactive games you can play to earn "Keys" onto your Power Up Band. Once you earn all 3 Keys, you head to Bowser Jr's Castle and a team member will grant you access. Inside is a fun interactive game to earn more coins/credits/achievements that you can view on the Universal App. Be warned that the games to earn keys can have extremely long wait times. The queue may look small but some games only allow 1-2 people at a time.

*Toadstool Cafe*
The sole eatery in the area. Unfortunately it was sold out and even VIP couldn't get me in. Make reservations early if interested.

Finally, Super Nintendo World is small, capacity may be reached. If it is, you will have to enter a Virtual Queue for access. Your app will guide you.

I absolutely love this place. Location is excellent, amazing atmosphere and super comfortable.

Food is incredible as well. Featured here are...

Surf and Turf Nachos! Not on the menu, but if you request it, they'll add steak to the LOBSTER NACHOS! Yummmmm 😯😲

Kung pao Bao. Tender and succulent Kung Pao pork belly on a sweet Chinese Bao Bun.

Salmon Poke with cucumber, mango, avocado and won ton crisps.

Love love love it here. Amazing drinks too!

Stopped by Fumi's in Kahuku on the island of Oahu. Spicy Garlic Shrimp with the family.

Fumi's restaurant is located on their own shrimp farm and Gavin loves seeing the shrimp and koi swimming in the water.

The conversation between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard had at the end of the trial has been leaked! The transcript reads:

Depp: (bows his head)

*THE FIVES OCEANFRONT*

The Fives Oceanfront is the ideal getaway for those of you looking for a quiet, peaceful, relaxing getaway.

Yes, this resort is smaller than most with a single restaurant (currently) but it is located in the adorable little town of Puerto Morelos where you can easily walk the streets and sample the local restaurants.

This resort is beachfront, but also has a few great pool options, including a great rooftop pool that overlooks the beach and town.

This is a great place for those of you trying to avoid the fast paced party resorts and still want to walk a quiet town and have experiences outside the resort.

*SECRETS PLAYA MUJERES*

Secrets is the sister resort to Dreams but is Adult Only. Located side by side, you can walk between the two resorts seamlessly.

I decided to partake in the Mexican fare at El Patio. I started with Tacos Dorados (taquitos) that were crunchy and fabulous. My main course was a traditional gordita that was PROMISED to me that the local abuela made. Fresh house fried chicharrones is ground up and mixed into masa to make the gordita "shells". Dessert was churro and chocolate ice cream.. If you're into that sort of thing.

There are also romantic dining options to eat outside, near the pool. Beautiful!
