The Carpe Vita, the upgraded sistership of the Carpe Diem Maldives Pvt. Ltd. The Carpe Vita meaning “Seize Life” was built in the Maldives by the same person, Amir Mansoor, as the Carpe Diem. The Carpe Vita started operations in 2011. The Carpe Vita with 38 meters in length is bigger than the Carpe Diem but still caters to a maximum of 20 people. With 10 cabins divided over 3 decks provides a lot more space. The Carpe Vita like the Carpe Diem caters to dedicated scuba diving, wave surfing, fishing, and tailor-made trips for both individuals as well as groups.

The Flagship yacht of the Carpe Diem Maldives Pvt. Ltd. Fleet, the Carpe Diem liveaboard is well-known for having a focus on superior service and quality. There are 10 cabins onboard spread over 3 decks with the choice of cabin standards, each with en-suite bathrooms and AC. On the lower deck are 6 standard cabins, 4 of which have 2 single beds which can be converted to doubles and the other 2 each have one single bed and one semi-bunk bed.

We have just retuned from a fabulous week aboard Carpe Novo. We were fortunate to see sharks and mantas in abundance and on one lucky dive two whale sharks. This email is a very special thank you to all the staff on the boat who worked hard to make sure we enjoyed our trip.
Captain Shareef for smooth transits and always finding a good mooring spot.
Engineer Payal for keeping everything in prefect working order.
Deck hands Badu Hassan and Kuda Hassan, compressor operator Moho and dhoni crew Aarish made our lives so simple with their helpfulness and ready smiles.
Dhoni captain Jack who somehow always knew where we’d surface and was ready to pick us up in moments.
Room attendant Rafiq who kept our cabin spotless and we loved his towel or blanket sculpture art each day.
Chef Iresh who prepared the most delicious food (most meals I had second helpings!) and he gave me my first taste of banana flowers. Diving builds up an appetite and we looked forward to his selection of soups, curries, salads, vegetables and desserts.
Assistant chef Raqib and barman Ajith were equally brilliant at keeping us well fed and watered - so cheerful and happy.
And then Yaan and Munkko who we dived with all week; they gave us the best diving experience, always found a good spot on the reef so we could see all the action. Very skilled guides who knew how to help my photographer husband find a good position for the best shots. And also the third dive guide Wathey or Chakka (we saw two different names for him!) although we didn’t actually dive with him it was nice to have him on board.
We know that many of the staff spend a long time away from their families so we appreciate their good humour, friendliness and skills that make sure we have a fantastic trip. Please can you pass on our comments and best wishes and a huge thank you to all the staff - without these special people our Maldives trip would not be so magical.

For those who think we are having a holiday, our Novo and Vita crew working hard during the yearly "beauty treatments" and getting the boats s**k and span for another season. Vita has had her final facial mask and has now returned to the water for another season. Novo is on land to undergo hers. Bon Voyage Carpe Vita. Great job guys.

Love boat.... sometimes we even have marriage proposals on our boat. Very special to be part of and we even have heart shaped islands in the Maldives ;-). Great job by our chef on the Novo with the celebration cake.

In Harmony with nature, beautiful sightings can occur. Please see attached some amazing material of a tiger shark passing by while diving at the reef in Foammulah atoll(Deep South). Guests on the Carpe Vita last week and today literally were very lucky to see them so close. Book your spaces now for next year as these trips book out very fast.
