Tanzania Day 10: Today we enjoyed a morning tour of Stone town, or the old town on Zanzibar. We passed through the local spice, fruit, and fish market before making our way to the port. We passed by the African slave trade exhibit and learned a great deal about the horrific history of the slave trade on the island. A lot of history packed into a few hours!
The day ended with a wonderful Italian dinner on the beach!

Tanzania Day 9: Today was a relaxing day at the beach! We spent some time in the sun enjoying the waves and walking out to find sea creatures when the tide went out!

Tanzania Day 8: This morning we enjoyed one final sunrise at our tented camp before heading to Arusha Airport before boarding a 12 seater prop plane to fly to the island of Zanzibar. We checked into our beach resort and spent the afternoon relaxing after a busy week on safari!

Tanzania Day 7: Today was our last safari in Tarangire National Park. We saw mongoose covering the termite hills, baby lions playing in the river, and a red bill hornbill (Zazu) in the park. We relaxed this evening at our tented camp and watched pumba from our porch!

Tanzania Day 6: Today we visited Ngorogoro Crater for our safari. Animals of the day was the black rhino! There are only 30 left in the area and we managed to see 3. They stayed far from the jeep but that marks the Big Five! We also saw a rare fox and the beautiful flamingos. The safari ended with a set of beautiful lions. We were welcomed back to the hotel with a beautiful surprise!

Tanzania Day 5: Today was our last day in the Serengeti. We started our morning relaxing on the deck of our tented camp after a night of hyenas howling around us. Our next stop was the hippo pool before making our way out of the park. On the way out we passed lions, vultures enjoying a carcass, and a part of the wildebeest migration! Another incredible day before making our way to our next lodge for the night!

Tanzania Day 4: Big cats for the win again today! We watched a pride of lions work to take down a cape Buffalo, spotted cheetahs stalking through the grass, and even got to see the elusive leopard relaxing in a tree after a kill!

Tanzania Day 3: This morning we made our way to the Serengeti, home of Simba. We saw SO many animals today: ostrich, gazelle, elephants, wildebeest, hyenas, jackels, topi, antelope, sorval cats, buzzards, giraffe, and kudu but what took the cake today was cheetahs and lions!! Videos to come of the cats!
We ended the night at our incredible tented camp!!

Tanzania Day 2: we started the day learning all about the gem, Tanzinite which is only found in two locations throughout the whole world. We made our way to a local Masai village and were greeted with their welcome dance.
Finally,we made our way to Lake Manyra national park. Here we saw more zebras,monkeys, beautiful birds,but most importantly, elephants! They came right up to our jeep!

Tanzania Day 1: After flying for 18 hours, we made it to Tanzania! Our first stop was a walking safari through Arusha national Park where we were blown away by the animals! We saw 4 kinds of monkeys, cape buffalo, zebras, warthogs, antelope, baboons,and more. BUT what really took the cake today was getting up close to the giraffes, what incredible animals - video to come! After the safari we checked into our hotel, Arusha Serena Lodge to enjoy a Kilimanjaro Beer by the fire. Per our guide "if you don't climb Mr. Kilimajaro,you should at least drink it!" An INCREDIBLE day!
