Power was eventually restored around 23:30 last night.
Apparently parts of Montbray are again without power again due to high winds ...
As I mentioned yesterday, we used to have confidence in EDF but Enedis, well, that's another matter.
Before conditions deteriorated!
Still no power.
Several of the better-producing apple trees wrenched from the ground by the wind.
Decamped to Le Calipel where we have electricity.
Another misty morning and the gentle hum of Asian hornets ...
Felix subtly signalling his dislike of the dog in the adjacent car.
Looks spookily like Johnny Halliday ...
Progress on Bally Boulevard!
Looks like orchard maintenance includes canopy raising ...
What more could Gudrun need?
A rare find in France and, more surprising, it's in working order - and was a steal. Another accoutrement for the Rocker Cellar.
Following last year's "little" error after the step-down transformer failed and the 1550 was connected direct to 220V, an original ballast set was found in the USA to replace the melted ballasts and, while 3 fluorescent tubes are on their way from Germany and England (who knew fluorescent tubes would be so difficult to find in the correct sizes and wattage?), the 2 pilaster fluorescent tube replacements were fitted today. The repro pilasters are from Victory Glass and are better than the original - unfortunately washed-out by my 'phone but they are beautiful "in the flesh". New styli (a very limited run and something ten years in the waiting - now sold out) completely rejuvenated this Wurlitzer - it now really sings4.
Still glides the stream ...
Bally Alley looking a lot more polished thanks to new backglasses from @cooshakvoort Loop the Loop has a new backglass made taking scans from the fragments of the original and Mad World was already in the database. The video and images do not come close to showing how good these are.
