My post yesterday resulted in the loss of several followers - quite surprising, as my posts rarely garner more than a couple of "likes".

Anyway, enjoy your Christmas turkey if you're having one.

It's such a shame the capitalist Christmas confection doesn't extend goodwill to all creatures - but it doesn't really extend it to "all mankind" either, of course.

I'm surprised at the difference, both in my general outlook and health, since I stopped consuming animal products.

As if a curtain has been lifted that, despite - or because of - the things I've seen, I'd been programmed to accept; my major regret being that my epiphany didn't come sooner.

I couldn't look my goats in the eye if I'd remained a hypocrite.

As far as I'm concerned, some businesses shouldn't exist.

Self-serving parasites.

Incidentally, I've removed La Maison Ruth and La Calècherie from the platform.

One has to wonder whether it's an intentional problem designed to garner an additional 10% penalty because "professional dues" aren't paid on the due date or simply overwhelming incompetence in the design of the tax payments IT system.

One thing is certain, it's a waste of my time and energy.

Perhaps it wouldn't be so irritating if paying 750€ was worthwhile; what does it get me?

A number.

That's it.

I have a number, all that number does is allow me to make a payment to have that number.

I don't want a number but if I don't have a number I can't have a business and pay 750€ to have a number.

I'm always careful to ensure the pinball machines are sited away from any water sources but was greeted by the sight of the 3 1950s Gottlieb woodrails, that I've just completed, dripping with water.

Water had found its way through the ceiling from the dishwasher in the gîte as the door seal had failed but it ran across the floor until it found a gap between the ancient floorboards ...

Rare survivors with original, moisture-delicate particle board cases; hopefully I caught them soon enough and removed most of the water.

I remember vividly how schoolfriends raved about "Frampton Comes Alive", everyone was buying it, the Daily Mirror had a picture of Frampton using a talk box during a concert at Wembley, hilariously captioned "Peter Frampton enjoys a drink during his performance".

It really was "Frampton Mania"!

Anyway, it wasn't my thing then but I came across a copy of the live double album for a Euro last week, a little ringwear on the cover but the records, although a little hairy, look unplayed after cleaning.

So I decided to see what I'd missed and dropped the stylus on Side One this morning.

It took me 3 tracks - although I was fairly sure on the first track - to remove the record, replace it in its inner sleeve and put it in my discogs.com sales inventory.

It's as dire as I expected.

The photo is of a lorry at the 1980 Reading Festival from which beer was being sold.

Until a mysterious accident occurred.

Bye bye .com

Following the ludicrous visit by Rebecca Romer and her crew, her obnoxious and infantile behaviour and my asking them to leave, her review of 1 out of 10 diluted my previously perfect record.

Although I'd been informed that non-paying guests weren't permitted to review.

Today I received an email informing me that .com have revised their review system and my rating has been adjusted - downwards!

Since commenting on their Instagram wall I've received four messages offering support from them - which would be miraculous had they not been phishing attempts as, in my experience, .com rarely reply to communications from owners.

Parting is such sweet, er, pleasure.

Finally clearing after the snow and gales.

The very productive apple tree that had appeared in fine health hid its secret well - it was as rotten as a pear but still sad to see it was still carrying fruit when the weather took it.

I have to say I'm thoroughly fed-up with long-covid, although I'm getting things done, it's taking a lot more effort than it should. Oh well, it's only been just over a year, it should improve eventually.
