The Method Valley Inn is the greatest place to stay in Twisp, not to mention you can bring all your friends with along for an exciting adventure.
An ending...
The Methow Valley Inn is about to have a new owner, bringing to an end Terry's 22 years and Raleigh and Peter's 8 years as owners of this grand old lady of a hotel.
It is something the owners have sought by having the Inn on the market, and so is an exciting time. But without a doubt it is also a time for reflection and even loss as Terry, Peter and Raleigh consider the gifts that owning the Inn has brought to each of them.
First and foremost, the biggest and best gift is you gentle reader...the guests and friends of the Inn who have brought such joy to everyone associated with running the Inn.
Another gift has been the privilege of being the stewards of such a lovely historical landmark and such a part of the community of Twisp and the greater Methow Valley. It has truly been an honor.
And a new beginnning...
The new owner has deep ties to the valley and family here. He has an abundance of enthusiasm, tons of energy, and lots of ideas about what his being the owner will mean to the Inn, its guests and the Community. He has enough experience with taking care of old buildings to not be naive about the task and has the skills to bring to the effort. And he loves the Inn. Loves its age, its quirks, its history and charm. And he values the role it plays in the Community.
He will be the primary communicator about his plans, but he has asked us to share with you enough that you know what to expect in the coming months.
The current BnB dates will be wrapping up in late October when our wonderful Manager, Anita Maling, returns to life in Kingston. The new owner has agreed to honor any of the group reservations that we book from then through the winter till spring, so get your skiing, snowshoeing, and fat biking group organized and booked now! He has some remodeling plans which he will begin over the winter and spring with the intention of returning the Inn to its BnB roots full time after that. So if you have loved having the BnB back this summer, then just be patient as it will be back in full force by next summer! That front porch swing will be calling your name...
