Our Story

Claudia Strasser opened The Paris Apartment as a petite boutique in New York City in 1993. It was a place where time-worn flea market furniture was restored back to its original splendor. The concept inspired a style book titled 'The Paris Apartment, Romantic Decor on a Flea Market Budget' where ‘How-To’ and trade secrets were revealed. 'Paris, Flea Market Style' was published a few years later and tells more of what hidden treasures can be found among the rubble of a seemingly grubby flea market. The Paris Apartment currently sells a collection online at www.theparisapartment.com and the iPhone app guides visitors through the maze of Flea markets in Paris. We’d love you to stop by and if you’re interested in shopping the flea markets with Claudia, please contact us at [email protected].
