Ready for some legit yakiniku? An awesome melt-in-your-mouth experience courtesy of that amazing marbling! Definitely a must-try when in Japan!
Pro tip: grill the meat at high temp to create a crust that will prevent the flavor from “escaping”. Cook each side within 15-25 seconds so as not to overcook the meat. It’s meant to cook fast that’s why it’s cut into small and thin pieces. Dip in your preferred sauce and enjoy! And hey, it goes well with wasabi too 😋🐮🥢

Some of you may call them geisha but they’re actually called Maiko.
A Maiko is an apprentice geisha in Kyoto and Western Japan. Their jobs consist of performing songs, dances, and playing the shamisen or other traditional Japanese instruments) for visitors during ozashiki. Maiko are usually aged 15 to 20 years old and become geiko after learning how to dance the traditional dances, play the shamisen, and learning Kyō-kotoba (dialect of Kyoto), regardless of their origins. - Wikipedia 🇯🇵🎎🎊

Oh my sushi! They’re always available and fresh! Don’t confuse them with sashimi though. Sushi aka Nigirizushi is prepared with vinegared rice and a smidgen of wasabi. It’s traditionally eaten using fingers even in formal setting. Flip it over and dip only the top part (fish) in soy sauce rather than the rice so it doesn’t fall apart and won’t soak up too much of the condiment. Enjoy! 😋
