South Africa 🇿🇦 is home to some interesting creatures!

One such creature is the African Penguin!🐧
Who would thought you would find penguins in Africa!
Well, these are endemic to South Africa and is found along the coast from Port Elizabeth to Namibia!🌍

🐧The African Penguin is an endangered species😟
🐧Their number have gone down from 4 million in 1800s to only 20 000 today!

🐧They are excellent swimmers, and prefer the cooler waters, where their favourite food source is found, anchoives!🐟🐟

🐧Male and females mate for life, and its confirmed that 80% to 90% stay together for rest of their lives💍💍💍

🐧They are able to hold their breaths for up 4.5 minutes and dive up to 130m to look for their food source🐟🐟

🐧They have lifespans up to 27 years!!

🐧Each Penguin has black spots on its chest! This is their "fingerprint" and is unqiue to each individual!☝️

The Waters of Cape Point in South Africa has always been known as the "Cape Of Storms"
Some days, the water is so calm and the weather so fine, you doubt it. There are many shipwrecks and commercial ships steers clear!
There is also an area known as the "Dumping Zone" WWII weapons, bombs and artillery has been dumped here!!

With Easter around the corner🐰🐰🥚

*We have the Eadter Bunny in Southern Africa*

Although most visitors spot animals, usually on night safaris, that they refer to as rabbits, they are actually seeing hares...Scrub Hares, to be exact. 🐰

Hares are larger than rabbits with longer hind legs and ears. They tend to be solitary and are mainly nocturnal, hiding motionless during the day. Another big difference is that rabbits nest in underground burrows, while hares nest above ground in shallow indentations know as forms.✅️🇿🇦

However, we are happy to report that they still count as "Easter Bunnies" and will be making deliveries to our guests this coming weekend!🧺🧺
